Yet he'd get plenty of pelters. Some people want a team of steady Eddie's that run around a lot but hide from the ball. It's the easiest thing in the world to look solid if you put yourself in positions to not make mistakes. They end up puting more pressure on the players that have some courage. Look at the stick Seri would get. It's pretty obvious why he would come up with the occasional catastrophic error and someone like Slater doesn't. Anyway. Yeah Grosiki. Lovely player to watch.
i know its nitpicking but honestly how **** is our training ground? look at that pic, it looks like a cheap bootleg gym youd find for £15 a month this has hosted years of premier league football it's a disgrace actually
If he comes, I hope he plays more and is more interested in playing for his club than another Adil I can think of
Problem with that is, you want to make sure we are actually going to get him before sanctioning any exits. Otherwise it’s just last Summer all over again (I know that the gaps created were mostly because of loan players going). A quiet transfer deadline day is what we need to aim for this year. Really, we should only expect players coming in on that day if either somebody leaves or it becomes painfully obvious there’s a problem in one area, but frankly the latter shouldn’t happen with good planning and foresight.
And that’s fine, but it shouldn’t be the central pillar of our transfer plan. No sane club plans on making its key signings on deadline day.
Did we last season? I suppose Belloumi came in quite late as did Kamara but I don't think they were central to our transfer strategy in the way that we went after Hughes for ages.
Am I the only one not overly fussed about McBurnie? Yes, he’s a good striker at this level and has a lot of experience but do we want a repeat of last summer with Moore? Just offer our terms, give him a deadline and if he isn’t willing to commit in a reasonable timeframe then say ‘thanks but no thanks, good luck’ and move onto other targets.
I have watched Might not be the nicest guy but a bit of aggression on the pitch wouldn't go amiss. The play off one he was protecting another player against a fan. The one in the street was understandable imo. A fan goading him until he lost it and gave him a few slaps. I remember Marlon King. Wouldn't want to spend any time in his company but you would want him in your team.
