Just feel we have the squad to get the best out of him, lots of other young players who just want to get better and think he falls into that category. I think if he's the main striker he might struggle with the pressure but if he joined us he would almost be joining a rotation of strikers and that would be good for him It would all come down to cost for me, I wouldnt want to pay a silly amount in guarantees for him. I just think he could be worth the risk at the right price
I think he would over the season, West Ham seem to never get the best out if strikers and always hard for a player joining half way through a season (especially when joining a struggling side)
Left winger who Le bris coached throughout his youth, would add up with what I said a couple months ago about scouting serie b though so id believe it.
Yeah all depends on how many future deal was structured, I would probably think the main snag would be him not wanting to come here. Can see him going abroad.
More a LW than a striker but a very good one. Them stats are superb but that was in a team in Serie B with a Serie A squad. I’d deffo like this to be a genuine link.
I know people like to see players. (Have to admit the goalkeeping is some of the most questionable I've seen)
Turnover is not profit though. The last quarter of 2025 I think they posted less than £1m profit. Next year will be less. The year after? They are a juggernaut no doubt, but one that is running out of fuel at a bad time. Income is starting to decrease when they need the opposite. Even the Asian market money is starting to look less rosy. The Glazers have absolutely devoured that club and no solution is possible while they are still there, (this of course is a situation with which we are all familiar here!). The green and yellow mob knew what they were talking about.
I think he would want to come, honestly young players are watching us closely and seeing what we've done with our youngsters so far. The jobe deal has put us on another level The issue will be how much Brighton would want, I think they'd want too much for him
Aye it fits everything we’ve done for couple years. He was rated and actually quite a coup for Sassuolo. Mind they had a very good side the relegation was a head scratcher, they’d been Europe just before. They absolutely waltzed Serie B in truth they took it easy last 3 months. He would be an exciting one for sure and having seen Heron post that he’s played for Reg looks legit and realistic. He has a class face scan on EAFC for anyone who cares too haha.
Yeah considering what they're asking for enciso (30m) there's not much chance of them going sub 50 for Fergie
Totally, I think they'll loan him out and see if he can rediscover his form I wouldnt be keen on a loan deal
Ah I see, yeah we definitely agree then. Id take him in a permanent deal because id trust us to eventually get him back to his best - but a loan means we need to get him firing immediately and that might be tough
I wonder what they’d really want for Ferguson. Is it not likely they keep him and sell Pedro to the ****house up the road?
We're just talking about Ferguson and spending a wedge on him (which i wouldn't be against) but we've got Isidor and Mayenda. I cant see us spending 20mill on him. This link seems much more viable. He can play left and upfront and will be cheaper. We need quality players in, but part of our model is letting our young talent grow. We can't spend loads on a forward and put Eli on the bench.
I agree with this broadly and I think it chimes with what KS said. There might be the odd chance of a player of the right type, at the right age, in the right position who fancies it here and is available. You never know of course, but there is a big world out there and I think we'll be taking our chances in it. We have to, and that's fine by me.
