Not half as much as I am ... whoever is managing ... ...certainly gonna be more exciting than being a predictable 3 points to anyone above half-way in the Prem... for a 34th year running ... oh dear ... always the garnish ...
I wouldn't. Not saying it's true for Fosse but more and more fans of smaller clubs are starting to prefer the championship to the Prem. Though I'll caveat that with it's far more likely at clubs where it's not a novelty for them. Plenty of things to prefer about the championship.
I would happily accept my club never returning to the PL. You have to remember in Fosse world, the only thing stopping them sitting at the top table is PSR!
Problem is our league is losing a lot of what made it preferable. **** KO times, expensive tickets, increasingly forgettable grounds as we lose the old ones for plastic bowls. When we eventually move I’ll probably be of an age where I can’t be arsed with it quite as regularly.
You're assuming you'll still be alive to see you move. Fair points though and I'm not looking forward to the early KO's which I'm sure we'll have loads of. Still plenty of positives though over the PL. Aside from the obvious VAR the derbies and new grounds are what I'm looking forward to most.
The way I’m feeling this morning I’ll do well to make the first day of the season. I hope we never move. People moan about the facilities, leg room, pillars but who really gives a ****? We’ll end up on a retail park in Ealing if we ever do go and almost certainly be bobbing around the second and third tiers for eternity anyway. Safe standing is a bonus. I’d have liked unsafe standing back but it’s a good compromise.
Must admit after years of wanting safe standing it doesn't make much difference and I actually don't like it that much. In a seated area next season but hoping I can stand.
was only supporting safe standing if it wasn’t a way to increase crown numbers. (Take out 2,000 seats and replace with 2,000 rail seats) could never have worked at Goodison, but at my age, I want a seat.
I like where my ST is now. Not a great view of the other end of the pitch but there’s a nice group around me, reasonable mix of yoof and people up to maybe 50 but none of the moaning old ****s I had behind me previously. Mostly though I’m not having my knees crushed and some nonce complaining every time we’re looking like we might get vaguely close to the opposition’s goal and people naturally get out their seat for a moment.
I was in our new standing area season just gone but it's full of young knobheads on their phones and atmosphere tourists so I've ****ed it off. Moved over next to the away end for this season and hopefully enough do the same to make it decent.
