I was thinking that I can't see Amad happening - MU would want at least 35-40 million, then I thought we could probably pay that - then I thought we would have to break our wage structure - at least 80,000 per week but then we pay Le Fee 60, and there are options like bonuses and relegation clauses / release fees etc, and then I thought, he would have other options - but then he clearly really wants to play for us - and so if Man U would accept a price, then he would likely be willing to negotiate a package that would be steep but not impossible for us. It would be some upgrade on Roberts. Mundle - Isidor/Mayenda - Amad ------------------Le Fee breaking out of a low-block defence - that looks pretty good to be fair
I don't think it's that far out, It really depends on how bad shape Man Utd are in. They're not shifting Rashford unless they're loaning him and still paying half of his wages.
Yeah involved in the kit launch I know it doesnt always mean something but still, I think he plays as one of their back up 10's or a RWB when chasing a game
Amad is absolutely not coming back. I can't believe some people think it's a possibility. If Man Utd absolutely needed to sell him (they don't), then they'd have multiple £40m offers from clubs who could afford to pay him £100k and give him Champions league football. We need to afford 3 players with the money ot would cost to sign Amad and give him a contract.
It does seems crazy. I can see us making a few eye-opening moves though and Amad is just within the realms of possibility. Other prospective players may then look at us more seriously so there is the benefit towards future transfer business to consider.
I think we'll do some really impressive stuff, amad for me falls out of the realm of possibility. But maybe I'm just trying not to get carried away
Just can't see any way Amad comes back this summer. First of all, Man Utd surely want to keep him? 14 G/A in the PL last season (1901 minutes played), has been used in numerous positions and done well in all of them. There's probably 10-15 players they should want off the books before him. Then you look at the teams that need a right winger. Brentford and Bournemouth are potentially losing a few of their attackers for big fees, that puts them at an instant advantage. Elanga has been linked away from Forest, that would be a big fee plus European football. Villa will probably sell a few attackers, plus losing Rashford and Asensio. And that's just looking at the PL. Then I look at the fee and wages it would cost to bring him here. I'd imagine it would be £40m+, can we really justify paying that fee for a singular player? I'm not so sure we will. Then you have to consider that he'll have other interest so the fee and wages will probably rise due to a bidding war. If the opportunity arises then i'm sure we'll at least inquire but even though he loves it here, I think there's too many obstacles.
I think we overestimate Amad world reputation because we love him. There won’t be a queue round the block to pay £40million for him like, he hasn’t consistently done it yet.
This plus we also have an ace card in that he loves the club, not saying that's enough for us to pip Real Madrid and Barca, but maybe it means he rejects West Ham or Brighton despite them being able to pay 20% more than us (fees and wages).
Nah mate, come on... there's a lot of PL teams higher than us that would take him and pay more than we could
He was United's second top scorer last season with also a bucket load of assists. He's done more than enough to get £30-40m bids.
£30m is very different to £40m though. If we go with my £25m estimate, you're now £5m away and that could be closed with add-ons.
14 G/A's in 26 games, he's out of our reach Also signed a new deal not long ago, they'll want a hefty fee EDIT - he's there until 2030!!
