I’m not entirely sure that makes any kind of sense.

Vapes are the worst for me. Fully grown adults puffing sweet smelling smoke into the air no matter where they are with a little smug look on their face. There is one down below us at City, thinks he is a proper mister then pulls his little pipe out during the game. Do they realise how stupid they look? Gone from smoking a cig like a macho cowboy to a little bit of plastic that smells like candyfloss.

At least smokers tend to stick to the areas they're allowed to smoke.

I'm guessing he was complaining about people who drink coffee in pubs. Which is a problem if they get to the bar just before you. Takes the barstaff too long to deal with them, send em to Costa!

Reading Glasses are an absolute abomination.

52 years I've been able to read everything absolutely fine and now I can't see **** close up. Sure the readers do work, but can I ever find the ****ing things. NO.

I recently got them after an eye test. I was warned by a mate not to wear them because it will make my eyesight worse in general. I ignored him as its nice to wear them for reading but he is right, I seem to already be struggling with my sight at other times. They dont suit my face so I really dont want to be wearing them all the time!

As someone who stopped smoking 23 years ago and has COPD (not a result of smoking but inhaling chlorine gas in an enclosed space) people smoking near me bother me less than people vaping. Certain perfumes trigger might COPD as well. They should ban perfumes in public spaces.<laugh>

If you've never smoked and tried to stop(even if that meant resorting to vaping to keep you off cigarettes), then you're probably not in a position to understand the bodies craving for nicotine and how long that craving can take to cease.

I smoked for 50 years(since age 11) and stopped because I was ill with 'Covid' and literally couldn't breath.I took to vaping to keep me off cigs and it worked.

I've now given up vaping because they've now tinkered with that and removed the products that I used...Thankfully I won't look 'stupid' anymore(not that anyone ever suggested that I did,to my face anyway):emoticon-0148-yes::emoticon-0148-yes:

I've smoked for years and stop whenever I like. I have never understood people saying they cant give it up but appreciate it is hard for people. I smoke if I go for a pint and have some in my desk drawer. I will sometimes have one outside in the garden if its a nice day and I want to get out of the office or if a customer comes who smokes, but I could stop tomorrow if I wanted to. I guess some people are more prone to addiction than others but thankfully I've always been able to take it or leave it.

One thing I am though is respectful to other people and would never light up outside a coffee shop or pub if there was someone at the near tables that are not smoking themselves. People who vape seem to think its acceptable wherever they are, on trains, football stadiums, inside pubs.

I never vaped on a train, inside the stadium or in a pub, even though I was told by the doorman on many occasions that you can vape in ebeneezers and for that matter several pubs in Glasgow...

I have noticed a marked increase in the use of vapes at Ibrox Park though.

You never asked me, well done for giving both up. I had just enough sense to never smoke, although there's time yet when the curtains finally shut. :emoticon-0138-think

Seven years this month without smoking or drinking and I still go in pub (yea, buy coffee) and vapors or smokers don't bother me.
What I do find amusing is that some that turned to vaping to stop smoking now have to have help getting off vaping. Not you Ric.
