Said I would’ve had him at the start of last season, decent CB but that was last season. Not sure about him as a PL defender like. Surely if it’s a squad signing we’d just spend the money on Mepham who we know is better and the same age.
I was the same at the start of last season, for me he's a very good championship CB only I don't want us signing loads of players just for squad depth. The frustrating thing is I think Alese would be better than this lad if he could actually stay fit - the issue is staying fit tho
I’d say we smash the numbers we did last summer 500+ pages there’s been 2 out one in and it’s not even the middle of June
Yep I agree mate. I think by the age of 26/27 you have a good idea of whether someone can make the step up, granted you get people like Jamie Vardy but they’re few and far between and this lad was at Spurs for a long time so they obviously didn’t rate him. I’d also rather the opportunity went to one of the younger lads who could still step up.
Yeah he was, then he slowed down stopped playing for them and ended up at a mid table championship side at 26/27 if he’s not playing prem then it’s very unlikely he’s going to be anything more than a top end championship player
He was when he 1st broke through about 5/6 years ago but never ever kicked on He had pace and power and that often makes players stand out at youth level but unless they improve other aspects of his game it gets found out at the top level He probably suits a back 3 more so wouldn't be the worst squad player for Palace since they play 3 at the bavk
Seems to me that someone is advertising his wares and touting for his sale...I could be wrong though.
I know it's not the right thread but just passed the Emirates Stadium on my way into London and still can't really believe we will be there next year
I won't get to go but its the Tottenham stadium i'm jealous of fans getting to visit. Most of my mates are spurs fans and they absolutely love it.
Opens champagne, I know it's before noon like, but as Kingy says, "Wear staying up. Sunderland's staying up"
It’s going to be surreal when the fixtures are released on Wednesday, and we see all the names like Liverpool, Arsenal, Man City etc.
And we haven't even got to Monday yet! These no knowledge journos ,and other nuisances, are going to link us with every player they can come up with who might be for sale. Sorting the wheat from the chaff is going to a nightmare! In fact,in order to preserve my mental health,Ive decided to take no notice of any of it,until I see the scarf outside the AOL........unless,of course..... someone mentions Amad!
