I'm not even arsed if ekwah is somehow as good as the Twitter experts have decided, he said he doesn't feel like a sunderland player anymore and feels at home in France.

Don't want him jumping back on board now that we're in the premier league, he can go doss about in another French relegation battle. I want players who'd give everything to play for the club.

 

With Ekwah he just seems to be so laid back. It’s as if he is only operating at 75%, and he knows he can step it up. The problem is getting him to do it. Maybe the tougher challenge in the Premier league will bring that out of him. Definitely worth seeing how he shapes up in pre season. The penny must drop with him that if he pulls his finger out he could have a great career in England. Fingers crossed eh?

 

I reccomended him to my old club when he played in the 2nd division in Belgium, was raging they didn't sign him

 

Ekwah is a likeable lad but you're spot on. The desire and togetherness the team showed in getting us promoted was phenomenal. It would be no good if any player was getting carried, in terms of commitment.

 

Challenger pro always has some interesting profiles in, and some exciting teams. Not sure why lommel are so bad though.

Was keeping our Eli out the team at sochaux B too, they'd make a fantastic front 2 now.

Good player that lad. But he seems to have hardly played in the last couple of years. And anyway, he will be on mega money at Chelsea.

 

I'm not sure it's physical laziness. It just seemed to me as if he was slower on the uptake than most. Maybe too, he just isn't the athlete some are and he's got this far on his talent. It does happen.

 

Not on twitter so not seeing any of the talk on Ekwah but if people are talking him up that can only be a good thing for us in terms of maximising our returns on him

 

£225k pw according to salarysport. We might be able to cover 40% of that at a push if we got him on loan.

 

Too much for us to pay for a lad with his injury record I'd say.

as a parent it’s hard to balance

He has two sons and Jude was well more in the limelight at one point, he’s arguably right and to focus on both sons equally despite one being older and obviously more development is testament to good parenting

 

Ekwah is possibly the most frustrating player i've seen in a SAFC shirt. Very likeable lad who did loads for the foundation, has all the tools you need to be a modern day defensive or box to box midfielder (height, covers ground quickly, excellent technical ability) but he rarely puts it all together. He wouldn’t fit in a RLB midfield because he won't put the graft in.
