Bluey and remote - it wasn't Buckingham who signed Harris.

Harris was a free agent when he left City and Liam Manning was the Oxford manager at the time who took him on.

I remember he was a free agent, but not who signed him.

Get the feeling all the candidates listed as favourites for the job so far have been abandoned for one reason or another. Maybe they didn't like what was on offer or Tan didn't fancy them for his own reasons. Either way it's gone on too long for any of the alleged candidates to stake their claim as the right man to sort it out.

Wouldn't be a bit surprised if the "shortlist" produced by the Allen/Chesterfield/Wasserman committe has been abandoned and others are being approached. A "left of field" appointment isn't off the cards. Probably someone we've never heard of like the arrival of Bulut - that worked out well didn't it.

That's the worry. Spend a chunk of change on consultants, then ignore them.
Who is working on restructuring the squad in the mean time?
I'd rather it be no one than Choo and Dalman.

We are now the laughing stock of all of football teams how embarising i am ashamed and i would never have said that about our team after 72 years of being a fan of our glorious team.I thought the Dewey brothers owners in the 50s were bad enough but this lot, they should be ashamed of them selves, how they sleep at night beats me.But there they are only there for the money and one day we will be rid of them.CANT WAIT.

Can't go back as far as you Will, but it must be approaching 60 years for me. I can remember seeing my first colour TV ever as a sprog when watching England win the WC in '66 - and will they ever let us forget it..........<laugh>

As far as City goes, mid to late 60's was a blast for me as a kid. Can't remember who owned it and probably didn't care back then, but it's taken a toll on the club ever since. There were some decent guys involved over the years who didn't really have the money, but right now we have the money but no decent guys.

Yep, we've definitely had our fair share of dodgy owners down the City...

I recall my late brother telling me about Kenton Utilities (I think it was that) - chartering a flight for a European away game somewhere - the plane had 10 seats apparently and was for the board only - I'm assuming the players were on commercial flights or even coach??

Tony Clemo - he was chairman around the time when I first started going down (mid 80's), I recall there being a few "Clemo Out" protests towards the end.

The Kumars (Samesh & can't remember the others name) - From memory no real money was ever put in despite the promises.

The great showman Rick Wright - all mouth and show - next to no money...

And then of course Sam Hammam - put us on the map big time but also almost killed the club to get his grubby hands on as much cash as possible.

Ridsdale I won't tar with the same kind of brush as overall he did a decent job in my opinion. Sure he made mistakes and the fiasco around early bird season tickets going to pay the VAT man instead of into the team as advertised was a horrid error, but we're still around now partially thanks to him.

To be fair VT isn't half as bad as some of them!!

These are the latest odds for the Plymouth job. Notice any similarities?

The way our club is run Barry-Murphy, Buckingham and Evatt will be hoping to get the Pilgrims job.

Hull just appoint a new manager this morning, but no news and no further forward as far as Bluebirds supporters are concerned - the silence is deafening. It's something like 7 weeks since Riza was sacked and the Ramsey/Nathan Jones/Ramsey again sagas have come and gone.

Perhaps we shouldn't be surprised given the past 5 years of poor decision making, but the steady decline has now culminated in the club facing 3rd tier football without a manager and a complete lack of football knowledge at the top.

Sad to say it seems we've witnessed the transformation of our one time financial saviour into a footballing pariah.

Is it possible that he's just become petrified to make a decision?

If our previous shortlist has had to be binned it will have likely caused a lot of angst and worry for those at the top?

It still doesn't explain the apparent lack of urgency being shown though. Even if it IS the case that they don't know which way to turn then surely that's the point you again engage experts for advice???

As you say, the silence is the worst thing as all it does is create further unrest and distrust.
Even some kind of holding message wouldn't go amiss at this stage....

Never mind, Christmas is coming, maybe Santa will deliver a manager to us then???

He's been odds on favourite for days ever since Rambo did a bunk. I can't see any credibility it that. He's either the right guy or not and Tan should have pressed the button days ago.
