My experience of gimps is limited to The Gimp in Pulp Fiction. If Acun is about to get medieval on Baz's ass, then, yes, I'm prepared to accept that Baz is a gimp.
I did say that, yes. Hate might be too strong, I don't know, but the sentiment of my point remains the same. People get too carried away and start behaving like children.
Listening to Baz on 1904. The coach with English football experience being brought in feels very similar to Brown being brought in when Parkinson was in charge.
Mowbrays name was being mentioned a couple of weeks ago, could be a good appointment if he wanted it?
Went for a walk and listened to the latest podcast. I usually enjoy listening to it. But on this one it seemed like Baz was on a mission to find the negative in everything and to try not to find any positive angles. I get that there are concerns but his negativity was ott imo.
He was just stating a lot of the current state of affairs. He probably sprinkled in some stuff that’s subjective to what he’s privy to. He got criticised for being critical last summer early on and he ended up being fairly spot on.
it’s something they talked about. As they rightly said Dawson’s desire must be to be more in the background.
It always struck me as interesting that when Baz and Mike White were being fed snippets about Selles' job being at risk they kept stating that it would be a group decision, not just Acun. Given that we know those snippets come from Acun himself, it was interesting that he was seemingly so keen to get that message out in advance of making the decision.
I understand and accept the concern around the timing of the appointment, however I don't think we will have as much turnover in our starting XI as last season. There may be quite a bit of churn but when it's guys like Mehlem, Omur, Raccioppi, Drameh, Simons, etc. who barely played in the last six months I'm not too bothered. Of the starting XI I'd really only expect to see new full backs and a striker signed, with the potential for CMs to replace any that go (Alzate, Puerta if and when they go) but even then we have Palmer, Crooks, potentially Zambrano already in the building.
Listening to the 1904 ep now. Something that often strikes me with Baz is he doesn't half love a leading question. Rather than letting the guests give their opinion on something he basically offers an opinion and gets them to assess that opinion.
