Exactly - so why on earth would we need to sign Krul or Forster?!

Honestly think we just need to ignore scrambling for homegrown, it's a fools errand with our academy output (Unless we have a buyback clause for Anderson at a decent amount. A Greek goalkeeper perhaps?)

Agree with this. Rather than buy back players who have left concentrate the efforts on improving the quality of the academy graduates to supplement the squad. Help their development by adding them to the squad to make up the numbers even if they are not ready. I would hope the club also judges each player on his merits as well rather than adopting different standards for home-grown to others. If they are not good enough then they should be sold.

I would take Anderson back. A swap deal for a certain goalkeeper with the values being £35m and £20m seems in order.

    **** you PSR!

Billy Whitehurst is 66 today, he'd still probably flatten every opposition player today if we re signed him.

I wouldn't. He wasn't good enough to get into the first team then and he's still not good enough now.

He would be classed as home grown. And he would give us some steel.

And swapping the players back wouldn’t cost us an awful lot.

It obviously would cost a lot cos he's had a good season and Vlach has done nothing.

I'm not sure what this "steel" you talk about is, Anderson sitting on the bench in case one of the midfield 3 who are all far better than him get injured?

I meant steal. As in we got Anderson back for a modest fee and chuck the useless GK we got back to them.

Nah, Anderson had a decent season and value will have gone up. Vlachodmios did **** all and value went down. Would rather spunk £40m on someone else in different position that could see us win the title and go full guns in that than the CL

I wish Anderson and Minteh all the best, they've both done well, but both would never get into our first team. They're both getting a proper chance now, so all good.
