That'll only become a concern if he signs ... ... and if he does it'll be because the club believe he can still do it. I'd only become concerned if he signed, played and couldn't still do it. Being concerned about something we don't have a say in is pointless tbh. Every signing is innocent until proven guilty imo.
Stating the obvious but the deal will only be done If the club think they can get what they need and the person likewise. Would raise an interesting question in terms of captaincy.
Think it would be poor to take it off Neil after last season personally, he can be a leader without the armband look at Luke
I’m praying he has what it takes to step up after a strange season just gone. Some of his performances shocked me and not in a good way
He might not do it against your Man Citys, Liverpool or Arsenals but I am pretty sure he will be ok against the Leeds, Burnleys and Everton type teams. We will be in our own mini league next season and he would be more than capable of playing at that standard
I’m perfectly aware of that. I’m just one who couldn’t care less about Henderson coming back, can see why the fanbase is 50/50 over it
Aye proper mix bag, I think he’s got it in him to step up but time will tell, might depend on who we get in around him
Couldn’t care less if he doesn’t sign, where as some will be gutted going off here and social media. Said previously, I want experience and leadership - he definitely would bring that
I am a big fan of Dans but last season he dwelled too much on the ball at times and got caught out a lot, he will be punished even more in the premier league, he has to move up a level and keep his concentration levels up. Your bang on with your comments, JH could be the fella to take him through the levels, his communication and on field coaching is top level.
He was and still is an exceptional player but that Saudi business damaged him. He'd built up an image as a stand-up captain helping worthwhile causes in his spare time You don't hear any of the families of ill children he helped slagging him off, but the LGBTQ+ lads/lasses are pretty vocal This must've had an effect on his mental health. His form deteriorated and he started arguing with people. Bertrand Traore, Mike Verweij at a press conference, chomping at fan taunts during games. People are going on like he'd greatly improve the team when I'd see it as mutually beneficial.
If he was still that player we’d have no chance of signing him. We have to be realistic and besides, this isn’t a poll … … we have no say in the matter.
No, we give an opinion. What I’m saying is that those opinions are irrelevant … … it sometimes looks like people keep repeating their opinion, on a particular player, and trying to change other people’s opinions.
I don’t have enough football intelligence to know if JH would be a good idea or not but…I was lucky enough to get an hour on a plane with a former PL player and an ex-manager… His view was clear - he could not only do it on the pitch (Ajax are a class act) but would also help the younger players. The guy has no skin in the game and knows more than most…it’s a yes from me!
