Exactly. The club could see it as a good deal, after all he’s only played in about 3 league games here.
Surely a loan to the championship this season would make sense? £1m these days is nout and I can’t see Hibs selling someone for any kind of decent money, has to be worth taking a chance on sending him out on loan again to a better standard of football.
Depends. We have loaned out a lot of players in recent seasons and most haven't really worked out, at least we've not received good offers for those players, say he goes to an Oxford/Derby type and has a mediocre season, we've basically left £1.5m on the table and now it's gone. I get that it's not a huge amount of money in modern football but it's incremental health towards the club.
I’m disappointed by that if true tbh. Feels like a missed opportunity. I really like what I’ve seen from the lad
I've named 6 and that's without Browne who could be useful to keep around as he can do most roles in midfield has international experience and can fill in at RB. If he is willing to stick around and be a bit part player then I'd rather that was his role than young kids who need game time and development.
Agree. Its not like he is a washed up has been. He literally just played for england and tuchel rates him highly
Some players will find new clubs more easily than others, I guess. Triantis looked good but is he up to the standard required for a PL squad? Difficult / slightly unpopular decisions probably have to be made.
