My nephew, James, is taking on this triple event to raise funds for this cause. Pulmonary Fibrosis is a horrible condition of scarring to the lungs which took his dad (my bro-in-law). It’s incurable and needs research funding, because there are fewer sufferers than to other conditions it gets left behind. If you can sponsor a few quid he would appreciate it so much. Having seen the horrible way it slowly drains someone away, we hope that others may be helped in future. Thankyou https://www.justgiving.com/page/james-potts-apf please log in to view this image
Update, part 1 complete. The challenge began in rain and had a couple of hours of torrential rain - soaking wet feet for the participants, last thing you want. I wish I had a fraction of his determination and resilience ! James sends his thanks for your contributions as he now prepares for part 2 - a ''frogman'' , which is 60kilometres of mountain running interspersed with 5 lake swims.
Sorry I missed this the first time. A small donation but I hope he reaches his target. I’m captain at Castle Eden golf club next year and I have to nominate a charity for the year. I will look into this one as I’m unsure where’s best. I’ve been looking into small north east charities but I’ve not been able to make a decision.
