Julien Stephan the latest foreign name you've never heard of... https://www.getfootballnewsfrance.c...-on-queens-park-rangers-managerial-shortlist/
With summer fast approaching and a new season just around the corner in August, are we currently anywhere at all close to signing a replacement team manager?
Yeah, wouldn't want a manager who plays attacking football and has a history of winning trophies wherever he goes.
One that also only avoided relegation from the Prem due to the 3 previous promoted sides being worse than Spurs, wouldn't have that luxury with us in the Championship !
And the other 30 years of titles and trophies mean nothing? Just the last season where he finished 17th and still won a major trophy, and qualified for the champions league, not bad if that's your biggest failure. We wouldn't want that.
A blind man without a dog could win trophies in Scotland, given the squad at his disposal and the calibre of the competition. It's immaterial anyway, we couldn't afford him
Why would we set our sights so low with Postecoglou when we can just get Klopp or the ghost of Brian Clough?
Granted his previous successes. But benefiting from a stupid rule designed so it would seem simply to allow the galacticos to play in the Champions League forever it seems without actually ever coming close to winning the League is not a notch on the belt he put there or plus mark in his favour.
It’s ridiculous the situation we are in, pre-season starts soon, only one pre-season game announced, players out of contracts no signings yet although transfer window not officially open, oh still no coach or manager, shambolic state of affairs, something’s got to happen this week
The amount of trophies or how they come into being is irrelevant. Winning any trophy is a notch on the managers belt, it's a ridiculous to say otherwise. The managers job is to win and he has proven that he can win trophies everywhere he's been - even in places that have salary caps so everyone is on an even footing (theoretically). He has also won trophies in international football against much higher spending countries. You can dislike the bloke but don't argue he isn't a good manager with a very good record. And don't try and argue that we wouldn't be over the moon with winning that trophy, or any trophy for that matter.
I'm guessing, more silence from the club. From the outside looking in, it seems a total farce, a shambles.
I didn't disagree in the first place. Read the first sentence again. It's only four words long. It is permissible to make a different point about the stupidity of enabling a team that finishes one place above the relegation zone to qualify for the Champions League. That went over your head first time around, Do you agree with my opinion. You don't have to- just don't get your knickers in a twist
Julien Stéphan in advance talks to become our manager, French Press, well it’s a rumour as too quiet on here Lol
