Same manager and champions league football. Plus living in London instead of Manchester. He may well take less to play for Spurs but Man Utd still have a big pull to players.
Mbuemo isn't a top player, he's somebody who scored into double figures in a top division for the first time in his career and is looking to get bag
Yeah I’m actually not entirely for the signing especially at the numbers being thrown around. This season was the first that he’s over performed his xG and there’s a good chance he regresses to the mean.
If the club want him and want to compete with Man Utd for his signature then they need to pay him the big bucks. 20 league goals in a season for Brentford is impressive. Of course it could be a one off but imo he walks into the Spurs side right now so I would welcome the signing.
With 25% off in the club shop and a proper canteen lunch at the training ground? Someone's banking on it. He'd be nuts to turn that down.
Can't believe those wage figures being banded around are real to be fair. It's probably more the lure of the Utd name!! Certainly not worth that I reckon. I wouldn't mind him at a far more reasonable rate though...
I don’t think it will be £250,000 a week, more likely to be £150,000 a week. My point is Spurs can afford it and if they see him or anyone as a marquee signing then they will have to pay the big bucks. Otherwise you’ll gonna to keep signing players like Richarlison and Solanke who aren’t needle movers.
Totally agree but can you see it happening? Nope. I just hope poor old Thomas comes in eyes wide open.
I am going only on one dimension : goals scored. As there is no difference, people will have to make the case for either on the basis on other dimensions.
Levy's face when he picks up Grealish for even cheaper than the 'Josh Onomah + a tenner + a packet of wotsits subject to appearances' deal we offered a few years ago. please log in to view this image
If it’s his choice, no problems, go and get that bag, Sonny. If it’s the club’s choice, I’m shooting Daniel Levy.
Seen Semenyo at Bristol and Bournemouth. A very strong, physical player who puts defenders under a lot of pressure. A scorer of great goals rather than a great goal scorer. We had his younger brother on the books at Cardiff. Not in the same class unfortunately.
Rumours that Frank would like to bring Nathan Collins from Brentford with him. Excellent underrated CB. Would have him all day long at Spurs. 6ft 3, 23 yrs old, quick and athletic. Perhaps not incredible on the ball but he is a very solid defender. Even if Romero leaves I would have him as his replacement.
And the club posts this 2 hours ago.... Can't see any decisions at this level being made w/o new coach in place anyways.
