Well that was a fiasco, got to about midnight, two fights to go and it all kicked off. No idea what happened, but as the second to last fight was about to start, about 30 Pakistani lads tried to storm the dressing room and started scrapping with security (presumably something happened to the lad they were there to support, who was fighting next). Everything was cancelled, after four hours in the cold and rain, we didn’t actually get to see Ted fight. Being refunded apparently, which is good, as it was over £100 a ticket.
Exactly Den... the first two were warm up taps really. But in fairness to him, he did get tagged a few times later and took them well. Zucco was a brawler..
We got a 50% refund, which is fair enough. It turns out that the stadium only had a license until midnight and as every fight went the distance, they knew well before the end that the last two fights wouldn't happen. I should have smelled a rat when I was told that the last two fights would now be after the main event, they were obviously aware that that it may well happen (and that wasn't on the day, we were told in the week leading up to the fight). It's ended up costing them a fair bit not putting Ted's fight on earlier, turns out he had the third highest ticket sales of all the fighters that night.
