Who is in and out?. https://www.liverpoolworld.uk/sport...tz-darwin-nunez-hugo-ekitike-transfer-5164077
and a CB. But after the completion of Wirtz and Kerkez, it will be player sales that define our next deals
Think the difference this time is that a) nobody else is bidding ala Caceido and b) We don't seem to be backing down on wanting him, we'd have given up on him by now if weren't willing to keep nudging up. I mean it could be worse, we could be Arsenal have agreed a release fee and all but agreed terms with the player but then find out he's touting around for someone else to make an offer.
it may well stop us getting a CF unless we are intending to play him there and if that is the case we can buy actual CF's who are highly rated and cheaper .
I just think there's a certain level of impatience these days. Last weekend I said there was no way Germany would let wirtz wander off for medicals etc and so it has proved. We have heard kerkez has left the Hungary camp but nothings going on. The rest is noise. You or I have no idea if lfc have made bids or what's going on and it's all coming out of Germany. From who we don't know. I assume its not all real and time will tell.
Who? Isak isn’t for sale. Other than that, no other standout CF. Also I dont think it’s money that’ll stop us signing a new CF, it’s the 17 foreign slot. As mentioned other day with Wirtz and Kerkez that takes us to 18 so we have to get rid of 1 anyway (prob Tsimikas) and if we wanted another CF we’d have to get rid of Jota/nunez anyway to make room therefore you get some cash towards the signing and free up a slot with that sale.
That doesn't bother me, tbh. It's very early in the window and he's been with Germany. I'm not saying I think we'll get him because I know sod-all one way or the other. I wouldn't be surprised either way, but under the circumstances I don't think the delay tells us a lot.
Doesn't bother me either. I always wait for the lean and take everything with a pinch of salt until it happens. I was just answering why some are starting to think it won't happen
It’s not that I am bothered I am just fed up with the summer long links that go nowhere I rather like it when we go Bish bosh bang Here is the new ….. It’s all the circus that comes with this kind of sale I also think it adds extra pressure on the incoming player that they probably don’t need the last ones I can remember where there was a long delay were Keita and VVD ( not sure if VVD was a long one but it felt it) - so who knows how the pressure theory works lmao
Sounds like Elliott is considering future. Can’t blame him, had injuries but started 2 games last year both once title was already run. Just doesn’t have that pace or physicality that slot wants it seems and with Wirtz coming in he’s 3rd choice in that 10 role and slot doesn’t even see him as cover for Salah. Real shame as he’s desperate to succeed and a proper fan of the club but after a good year under Klopp then barely playing last year, at his age it’s prob time to go find a club and be starter every week. I’m sure under Klopp he’d probably have played a lot more but just isn’t quite that top top quality atm to be able to force his way in. Hopefully goes to decent club, prefer if it’s abroad and we get a decent sell on %. Should be at least 30-40m
I agree that it’s a shame that he couldn’t deliver what Slot wants but we could all see his shortcomings this season.
The reality is he didn't play much under klopp either. This is my opinion but he was better before that ankle injury. Whether it is psychological or its a conscious thing with him I don't know but he simply doesn't put himself about in any way. He will run about but he doesn't actually really get close to anyone. Until he really figures that out.in his own mind he will not progress Harry Wilson was a better player (imo) at the ahead but never got a go. That's boy could shoot and take frees. My God, still no pace. Elliott is headed the same way, no pace really, bit of vision but too passive. Bit of a shot and good attitude to being busy though. It is what it is.
1. Make tackles if you are pressing. 2. First thought should be pass forward. 3. Urgency and drive. Passive play is no good. A lot of these things apply.to Jones as well. Compare.and contrast with macallister who can play all midfield positions. Hard as nails. Consta lay in trouble with refs and getting away with it. Loves the physical side. Wants the ball all the time. First though is to play forward. Doesn't just hold the ball or recycle it. Shot like a cannon.
He did start the Plymouth game as well, tbf. And he was distinctly underwhelming. But he was not alone in that respect.
