I was there with around 3000 - 4000 or so other diehards. I have complete recall of that banner “Loyal fans don’t go to Wembley”. One of the memorable days for me.

I think we were close to bottom of Division 3 and had to win.

They kept going to the very end, well done Rovers. Not the best of games and Warrington will be feeling hard done to. It's the same for both teams, so maybe a poor excuse, but perhaps the rain slowed things down a bit making it a more even game. It doesn't matter, a win is a win at the end of the day.

i suspect if that was City losing with 4 minutes to play the stand would be half empty

Well we'll never know because we rarely lose at Wembley. Don't remember it being half empty in 2014.

In 1986 KR vs cas at the old Wembley I was literally stood behind ( obvs in the crowd ) Dorahy when he had a kick to win it. I was pissed as a fart and for about 3 mins jumped up and down thinking he’d scored. I was not very popular in the crowd that day lol. Fast forward to yesterday and watching mikey Lewis, I absolutely knew he’d score that kick, sport has a funny way of repeating itself but unlike madness it can have a different outcome…..

Perhaps, but what is a FACT is that just a few years ago Rovers didn't give their attendances out because of the embarrassment factor.
Abridged version, they weren't there when they were ****. :emoticon-0138-think

Loved it when TWS were doing crap and Chelsea were beating them at Bellend Road and their fans were singing ‘We were here when you were good…”.<laugh>

They didn’t need to have the fans so far back.

There’s certainly been a few folks hopping on the Rovers band wagon in the last few years, but credit to the club, they have given them a reason to go and the fans have responded. It shows what strategic investment on and off the pitch can do.

When the golden period ends, some fans will drop off, it’s the same for most clubs in most sports. Not that long ago Leeds united had 10k empty seats every game, now they’re expanded the stadium.

Well done Rovers, didn’t bottle this one did we?

We’ll just enjoy the good times while they last. Lots of pundits agree that Rovers have the loudest and best supporters in the league.

Certainly create more passion and noise than Hull , whose fans rattle around in an half empty stadium, creating zero atmosphere.

The bandwagon is getting bigger and bigger.

If it gets any bigger they’ll actually have to build a 4th stand instead of filling the space with food trucks!
