Worryingly a lot of outlets are linking us to Grealish. This won’t happen of course. I don’t think. He’s 29 and on £300k a week. Also we have Gordon and Barnes.
This is who I think we should sign for RW. https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/edon-zhegrova/profil/spieler/496857
If we were to get someone like Grealish I suspect it would be a loan where we paid a fee and a portion of his wages. I can see it happening to be honest but surely Villa is a more obvious destination (especially as Rashford is unlikely to be there after the summer).
If true it would be part of the Livramento sale and like haslam says probably some kind of loan and they pay at least half his wages. I'd rather avoid him like the plague though.
Looks an exciting and fun player to watch and without even seeing his defencing contributions I think he looks like the type of player we don't like. Link to Barcelona though so.
Now, he'd need to get a season or two under his belt first at a Bournemouth or Brighton before he'd be ready for us, don't you think?
Seriously though, what would his asking price be? If we sign João Pedro at £60m, Guehi at £50m and Trafford at £30m, it would be exciting times, but we wouldn't have much left to spend. That's why I think an opportunistic strike for someone like Roony Bardghji would be a good shout. Very highly rated and skillful RW, price as low as it will ever be at around £10m with only 6 months left of contract and the fact he's just returning from a Livramento style knee injury putting other big clubs off. If we do buy the first three, then Douglas Luiz also becomes a more likely option for strengthening CM, with a low cost loan with an option to buy next July being mooted.
We will be selling Livramento more the Likely, so we can then buy a full back and a CM also. I'm not against selling Livramento if we cover all those areas.... It's a ****ter because he's a very very good player, but big money for a fullback makes sense imo.
We were linked a few weeks back with Douglas Luiz on loan with an option to buy next summer. Would be a low cost (for this year), high quality option for strengthening at CM. If we could do that we'd probably end up selling Willock or Longstaff too.
This would be the most senseless piece of business the club could ever do. We have a player who is comfortable at both RB and LB. It is perhaps the most stupid idea on the planet.
He's going to Man City whether you like the idea or not more than likely and probably for close to 80 million pounds. That is more than enough to purchase another full back and other players. I don't like the idea, but it makes more sense than selling a fwd because they're harder to replace.
There really is a poster around here making some huge assumptions. Not naming any names, I'm just surprised at their stance. If I didn't know better I'd think they were just farming responses in a slightling WUMing manner. I'm sure they're not though.
I think he’s super fast. Can beat a player and can cross a ball. That’s exactly what we need. He’s also direct.
Obviously we're not selling Livramento, that makes no sense, he's totally a key player and we don't sell those anymore. More Elanga rumours as well as JP, those 2 and Guehi would be a good window.
Man City are trying to buy Livramento, so I've commented on it. It'll be interesting to see what happens. Full backs are more easily replaced than forwards and money talks.
