It was called Dept Q on Netflix. About a dysfunctional cop in Scotland investigating a cold case. Based on a Jussi Adler-Olson novel so it's that dark, violent, a bit weird scandi-noir stuff. I quite enjoyed it.

    Back from Disneyland Paris.

Normally I’m as cynical as most of you old farts, but I’ve always had a soft spot for Disney.
If you can just chuck yourself into it and take it for what it is, it’s great
Grandkids loved it. Magical seeing their faces experiencing it for the first time, and seeing our Daughter so happy at how happy they were…made me very happy too.

The review I’m sure you’ve all been waiting for from the Not606 Booze Correspondent!…

It’s not a dry park anymore, so you can buy booze inside and have it wandering around or sat at tables.
The price, and the fact that most people have kids with them (and maybe the French drinks culture) meant I never saw anyone drunk, and I wasn’t drunk at all…certainly not inside the park, but it’s nice to have the option instead of coke (the drink) etc.
You are allowed to take drinks and food in too so I guess you could simply put some in a water bottle to bring in
Bags do get scanned so I don’t know what they’d do if you had a hip flask or a bottle of wine or spirits with you. I didn’t and just had a mid morning pint and a pint with food, and a couple late at fireworks.
Not sold everywhere but plenty of places (even just confectionary shops) sold 330ml cans of Kronenbourg 1664 and in the Studios park the square near the Ratatouille ride is set up with French looking food carts. One of which sold draft Blonde Ale and a draft modern style IPA (which was excellent and my drink of choice), Leffe, Cherry Lieberman’s, wine and champagne.

Anyway strap on your Mickey ears and dive in!

Went there the first year it opened with Kingstonian (KHCT's coaching division), play the crip card and you're at the front of every queue. :emoticon-0138-think

Just got back from a week in Fethiye, stayed at the brand new XO Cape Arnna - very nice hotel!

Billy Sharp and family were there the same week, and he put on a week's football academy for kids to attend which my 11year old really enjoyed. Spoke to him for a few hours, he couldn't believe Rosenior was sacked, he would have likely stayed for a futher year had Liam not been sacked, but he was gutted with his time at City as it's the only club he didn't score for

We went first year too with our kids.

Having a disabled Grandson I would never ‘play the crip card’…:emoticon-0173-middl

(neither would I have had before I had a disabled Grandson)

Apologies, I expressed it poorly, I didn't mean for you or others to do so, just that I have that card.

Just back from a week in Porto Petro Mallorca beautiful little place .We flew out of Humberside which was so convenient no hassle parking ,long queues or rows and rows of security two hours and a few minutes on the flight to the island .We enjoyed it that much we have booked to go back to the island in September from there again .I was really surprised that they did not attempt to pick up some of the slack when Doncaster shut ,maybe they did looking forward to that one reopening as it’s also so convenient for us around here.

It is in a bit of a sorry state it doesn’t even have a shop anymore with the bar area looking a little like a school tuck shop with random items placed behind the bar .When you order a pint you pay at the only till and take the receipt to another area to present to that person to get your pint bit bizarre. Its simply the convenience of been so local .
