As above...Get yourself to screwfix and get some rat poison,put in bait boxes in your garden(where you know they're running) and let the little bastards feast!!! on it
To be fair I’ve been out this morning and looked all under shed and around my garden and no obvious sign of an infestation . Also read that unlike mice, if you see a solo rat it can just be passing through , so not panicking yet . If there is an Infestation, it willl be next door , it’s like club Tropicana for rodents in there . Tried knocking so they can have a look , not up yet . I’ll try in an hour when their daily subway lunch gets delivered. .
If you own your home up here you pay for the service,not sure about Hull Council though? Easy enough to do it yourself if it comes to giving them £80 or whatever it is.

So much wrong here. ERGONOMICS A few days of doing that, sat in that position, will inevitable lead to back/disc/nerve problems. Hudgell on the case and he won't have to work again. Unless of course......
