The opposite is also true. Dortmund are not negotiating with Mark Bellingham. And I don’t expect the career map would do all that well if Jobe gets Allan Johnstoned. We hold as much advantage as we want to hold.
Really? I don’t think anyone would give a shiny ****e if we signed a Russian tbh. PSG signed Safanov this season for a fairly large fee and didn’t hear anything about it
well let’s see if any English clubs sign a Russian then shall we? The media in this country would be all over it, and the fans would follow. Nothing will convince me otherwise other than seeing another club try it first.
The main reason it won’t happen is because they aren’t very good, generally. I don’t think it will be a political decision.
Dortmund are confident that the deal will be by Tuesday. hopefully they’ve found the extra 10m that was missing from price tag
Why have you replied to me? I was having a joke with Flanders, as he would have Clarke back. Clarke who couldn't get past trippier, or did much last season in the Premier.
On SSN there that Kepa has a £5m release clause in his contract. That’s ridiculous if true not that we could afford his wages anyway but surely will get a move to a top half club that’s a bargain.
Clubs are willing taking Saudi money after a corrupt government intervention forced their hand to allow them to purchase the bastards up the road. I think morals went out of the window a long time ago to be honest. We’ll see this season how many fanbases boo Manor Solomon.. I don’t think PL clubs are against signing Russians, there just isn’t that many decent Russian footballers tbh. Other than Safanov who I only know because of his move to PSG I couldn’t name a single other Russian footballer playing at a decent level right now.
Not sure judging any Sunderland player on the strength of a game against Newcastle..when literally every player we had that day completely froze is fair on any player. as for his time at Ipswich...lets be honest, the kid hasn't been given a chance, according to a friend of mine who follows Ipswich, he really hasn't been used ( when he gets game time) in his favoured position. I don't think I mentioned replacing him for Mundle, but having both of them in the Premier league is no bad thing
They were confident of it being done by last Sunday as well Quite simply Dortmund, Jobes camp (mighty Mark ) and any other club interested should be told the release clause is there for a reason and he has a contract with the club that he owes everything to (and not the other way round). So unless a club meets it, see you for training in 4 weeks son.
Sadly won’t happen, the club won’t risk relationships especially with someone as high profile as the Bellingham’s if he’s made his mind up, a deal will get done
Never understand this sort of view I don’t support the league, I support Sunderland How does it impact you if he’s in the English league playing for one of the enemy clubs (and that’s what the other 91 are) vs playing abroad?
Because I like seeing the top players in our league. It’s not that difficult. Having better players in our league benefits our national side. Having better players in our league benefits the PL from a marketing perspective, bringing better deals and benefitting our club. Having better players in our league elevates the status of the entire league, again benefitting OUR club. Not to mention ruin that without their being ‘other clubs’ ours would be irrelevant and not exist. I’m a Sunderland fan first, but I’m a football fan to the core. It’s really not a hard rational to fathom.
