Well said, sums up the bloke.

Really cool moment when Roberts (I think) and possibly Onien are shouting boss for him to come over during the wise men say in front of the fans.

Such a likeable bloke and couldnt have got a more perfect personality/character to oversee this young squad. Thats without the tactical flexibility he has shown throughout the season.

Totally agree. He reminds me of a younger Ancelotti, as in he is such a professional and it's never about him. Love the footage when he sprints down the touch line when the 2nd goal goes in and then he remembers who/where he is and needs to conductive himself properly. So he turns around and claps twice. Love him

Whereas Wilder dances around like the referee has just blown the final whistle.

Yeah, what a total p***k that bloke is! Storms off down the tunnel afterwards and stays away from his own people for an hour before doing the sky interview, by that time his clubs supporters have gone and apparently some of the players had left.

Brilliant!! How can it be that I’ve spent so many hours watching and yet there’s still footage I’m seeing for the first time even now.

Watched this again tonight at work and I dunno if its been mentioned previously but RLB had to be told that they had to pick up the trophy after they had got their medals. He and the players were just watching the fans celebrating and taking it all in

I’ve said it before. KLD is not in this for fun. It’s not a little plaything for him. He is ambitious. He has seen the potential in SAFC. More importantly as the child of a successful football club owner he wants to emulate and probably do better than his father. If he stays at the helm of our club I can only foresee better things happening.
Sunderland were rudderless for years. Sir Bob did his best with the limited funds available to him. The worst thing he did, and I know I’ll probably get pelters for this, was to sell up to Drumaville. They did just see it as a bit of fun. As much as we all love Niall Quinn and having met him a couple of times I can say he is a true gentlemen, he wasn’t the best man to run the club. That he sold out to Ellis Short, which at the time seemed great but in hindsight was a terrible thing to do as Short as we know didn’t understand the game or the club.
Then Short did the best and the worst thing for the club. One by getting as far away from it as possible but selling (if that’s the right word) to who can only be described as the worst custodians of our club in its entire history. And I don’t care what Bob says about his mates or his vagueness in his defence of them, we all know how incompetent they really were.
So thank you KLD for having the foresight to see what Sunderland can become again.

I'd love to live it again. That and Wycombe, sensational days. Me and me Dad together supporting the lads and watching us win at Wembley. Very special.

Just doing a bit of multitasking (ironing 3 weeks worth of clothes and watching the 2nd half of “that match”). I wanted to watch the second half (1) because the first half wasn’t that great for us and (2) to see how much our goals were against the run of play because if you listen to the commentary at the end you’d think it was some kind of smash and grab. As it was we had more of the ball and control of the game. Bar one or two mistakes and counter attacks (as we were pressing for a goal) Sheffield United didn’t lay a glove on us. And Dan Neil did a fantastic interview at the end. Onwards!

Still not getting bored or any less emotional every time I watch these videos.

There’s a great shot on that one of Regis walking behind the lads just watching the crowd, looking content but with a look of ‘this club is ****ing crazy’ on his face.

Bet he had no idea. I don’t think many do, even many in this country.

The other thing that always stands out is Sheffield United fans having a cuddle and a rousing applause like a Sunday League game, compared to pure unadulterated mayhem in our end.

We will never forget that day, no matter what next season brings.

Never forget his family have been involved with Marseille for an eternity.

You think North East fans are mental, try Marseille. Absolutely ****ing basket case of a club and city.

If you sten back from Marseille and still have the bollocks to take on another football club, you know exactly what it is all about.

Much of the commentary was absolute nonsense wasn't it.

When Mayenda and then Watson score we have half of our team in their half ...

... the way the goals are described it's like we had two lucky breaks and stole the game.

Many of the Utd fans are still claiming Var cost them the game ... even though they were still winning after the decision <laugh>

If that shot had been blocked, as it should've been, would they have still lost?
