They'd have to find a player that's happy to sign to basically never play, put up cash, agent fees, and the same salary. I'm being serious here, but what kind of player are you going to get for that sort of squad position? We've already got Osula and Neave, so again are you really going to pay to get someone, when you can just dramatically cut Wilsons wage, save money, and move on improving the squad.

It's like on one hand people acknowledge PSR, but on the other they can't factor it in and just adopt some common sense.

I just don’t see the point in filling a squad space and paying wages for a player who won’t play. Hasn’t contributed in the last 12 months and is basically an injury waiting to happen.

I would rather is keep the money and put it towards signing a RW. Osula and Gordon to an extent can cover Isak if need be.

We need to stop being sentimental and when I say we I mean Howe.

The answer is very simple GG! the club can't have 25 world class players. They have to be prepared as best as possible for injuries and still fall within PSR. It's about preparing as best you can for worst case scenarios.

It's a balancing act that for whatever reason some people simply cannot get into their skulls.

They ARE keeping money this way for other areas. This way IS cheaper.

He’s just an injury and can’t be relied upon anymore. I am happy to be proved wrong though. I like him.

I just would rather us move on. Let’s see what happens in the transfers department.

We do need to freshen things up a bit.

He hasn't been injured since October you know. I'm clearly wasting my time trying to explain this, but I'll try again.

The club wants to strengthen the squad, but also it has to box clever and penny pinch in certain areas because of PSR.

It costs quite a lot of money to buy a striker these days and when you're offering them 3rd or 4th choice you're going to be looking at someone pretty ****, unambitious, and happy to be simply be here.... So you might as well save money and just lower Wilsons wage.

They'll now have more money for other areas including a second striker and Rw.

My answer to Wilson is Neave.

There's always a possibility that Isak and Osula get injured. Then you'll need Wilson and Neave as things stand.

2 injuries is far from something you can rule out and the club has to cover these potential scenarios as best it can within Psr regulations.

I'm assuming we sign a striker.

    Isak
    New striker
    Osula
    Neave

Wilson just can't hack the PL anymore. Not even for ten minutes.

I understand your points mate I do. I just don’t agree with them. That’s ok right. To not agree with someone’s opinion.

You don’t have to explain something we already know. But chances are he will get injured again and won’t play. Because that’s how it’s gone the last couple of years.

Additionally he hasn’t really given us anything at all in the last 12 months regardless of whether he’s injured or not.

So my thoughts are get rid of him and buy another young hungry winger/striker who can actually contribute.

So am I mate and again you'll end up relying on Wilson if you pick up 2 injuries at least for rotational purposes.

We couldn't even list a full bench due to injuries last time we were in all 4 comps and the club has learned.

I agree with you mate. I think Wilson should move on also. Been a good player for us but his legs are gone.

    Moving on.....

    Repeated rumours of Miley leaving.
Will he be the sacrificial lamb this summer? Will it just be a loan move? Would people accept if it involved Eze?
