Friday night, earned a treat. Love a choc ice me. Vanilla ice cream, chocolate that shatters when you bite in. Lush. Ah, hang on, I have an idea...
Huge fan of a Vienetta. Did a whole one in a single sitting once. Do not recommend the stomach pains were off it.
When a were a lad. I always got a screwball from the local van. Why did they come with a little wooden instrument that could never get the bubble gum from the bottom
We building up to an ice-cream vote? Cos it’s a Mars Ice-Cream v Magnum final. With an honourable mention to them popping candy Crunchie ones which are magnificent.
Ok, game on. Round 2 of the summer championships. Ice Cream. Any handheld ice, cream, any bowl but name your flavour, any oddities allowed. And under advisement (mine) ice lollies allowed. Usual rules. You all nominate then I choose my favourite 10. You all vote and I then decide the champ Haway lets get the ice cream champs of years gone by up against these modern things.
Notriannies in High street west was an event , post war in the old shop with its Pullman style cubicles ,the smell of real coffee beans perculating. The iced drink special was just that, a tall glass and spoon with ice cream over cream soda, plus a flake and monkeys blood, long before the Bis Bar in Park Lane became the flagship. Now its Lidl choc ices , 2.50 for a pack of twelve , it just aint the same.
In terms of lollies, a Feast was always a cracker. More recently I like a Fruit Pastel lolly as well. Cider lollies from the icey as a youngun always felt a bit naughty as well
It got better when my older cousin used to take me, she was a close friend of Anastasia . I'll say no more. P.S. I was eight at the time.
Not a fan of choc ices, but do like ice cream. Ice cream of choice would be mint choc chip in a waffle cone. Running it a close second would be rum & raisin, still in a waffle cone.
