Looks like the type of CM we need. It's unusual for us to sign up players this early so a positive sign which bodes well. NJ saying all the right things too.

Plus points being played lots of games in the past three seasons AND in the Championship.

I have to smile that he comes in as a free transfer. I wonder how deep the coffers are.

I've just found out Small has left us. Why on earth would he do that? We are on the up, whereas Preston are on a downward trajectory. Must be money.

 

Could well be money. Maybe Small doesn't like NJ (or vice versa). He isn't everyone's cup of tea.

 

I didn't particularly like my first boss (automotive firm), but he paid me fairly for five years until redundancy. I felt a sort of loyalty to the man. I would never have had a beer with him, yet he protected us young ones during difficult times. I used to call him the odious slug, which I sort of regret looking back.
