Mentioning Postecoglou in the same sentence as Nicholson and Burkinshaw is an insult to the latter two men, I'm sorry.
If the Frank rumours are true, Lange is the one driving that deal. He is supposed to be very close to and a huge admirer of his fellow Dane.

Until I've heard from the esteemed scholar of the socio-politics of 1930s Germany, Gary Lineker, I am not interested.
when in 2045 we are talking about the last trophy we won you will refer back to Ange in great fondness
I’ve no issue with it to be fair. The game’s about glory (cliche I know) and he brought us some. I think two things can be equally right though: A - he was massively out of his depth in this country. B - he still delivered one of the greatest nights in our history and we can be forever grateful for it.
I think it’s a poor decision…won our first trophy in 17 years and we took the L’s in the league to make that happen with our injuries. I think we’d likely got top 6 with him, but the ambition will always be top 4 with little care about winning an actual trophy. it’s where the spreadsheet says all the money is..CL - doesn’t matter about style of play, emotions, culture, etc. (says Levy)
1. I will probably be dead by then. 2. Perhaps Keithy will come to be solemnly revered by those who never saw him at work in the flesh, as my generation did for St Nicholson.
But where’s the fun in that? lol. I’d keep Lange on the premise he’s in charge of youth signings but he can only sign them once Don Fabio feels he’s done enough for the first team, whatever money is left over from him can then go to Lange to find us some more Bergvall’s.
Yeah this was my view but I feel like I can “let” Ange say that was the play, ultimately it worked in the end. But I think he only prioritised Europa because he knew he could do **** all in the Prem. You take out his first couple months and pretty much every team in the league sussed him out… except Man Utd .
Yeah, I think Ange said he sacked off the League just to make himself look good. Remember his comments when Spurs hosted Man City last year where some were clamouring for Spurs to lose to prevent Arsenal any chances of winning the PL? There's no way Ange would allow Spurs to lose - except for the last month or so to protect players for the Final.
Take away that opening stretch of 10 games and we picked up 78 points from the remaining 198 up for grabs. That is just so shockingly bad I cannot fathom how keeping him on was even a question.
