Good question, I don't know! I also don't know how many UK-based coaches are available, within budget, with the right qualifications and interested in coming to us. The number of overseas coaches in football now would suggest, to me at least, that there aren't that many, especially at PL and Championship level.
When a handful of top-half Championship teams are all on the hunt for managers, it's hard to see many of the proven Championship managers picking us over them in our current state.
Not just that, how many "proven" Championship managers are actually available anyway? There's a whole lot of failed ones.
It seems British managers have one failure and that’s it they should never work again Is dyche a failure after been sacked by Everton? Is moyes after Man U Fat franks done brilliantly at Coventry when most on here were willing him to fail Alex neill deemed a failure after Stoke It’s never going to work out at every club we must just like sexy sounding foreign coaches

Have to wonder if Andy Dawson has a significant role these days or is his a grace and favour position. He's done well to survive 4 manager changes!
I imagine his value is simply (or mainly tbf) in having someone around who knows the club and league inside out. Continuity.
100 percent. That’s why I was happy to see Newcastle win a pot this year. All the fuss over non uk managers and loads fail.
It's soooo *** packet. Manager......but we won't see him for weeks. Does he have any input to targets....doubt it.
Hasn't it already been said that he's had discussions with the 3 short listed for the further coach (with deep domestic experience) position .... and will have the final say? ... so likely he'll be having input already, and going forward.
Laugh at me all you like but I still think there’s a very good manager in Gary O’Neil. Doubt he’ll get a PL gig and not sure he’d have come but I’d have been more than happy with him coming in. One blip at Wolves doesn’t make him a poor manager.
