I'm more pleased for KLD, RLB, the players and those supporters who crave PL football than myself tbh ...

... it's so corrupt and ridiculous but we all have to learn to call it 'the best league in the world'.

We now have to decide whether we accept relegation or cling to the hope we can stay up.

Not a great choice but that's the reality.

I must of watched our 2 goals 100 times now. F**kin beautiful finishes. Mayenda doesn't look up once he gets the ball, "Goal never moves", he looks up once its leaving his foot. Watson, cool and calm as f**k. Sheffield players lost the game at 1-1. Their reaction said it all. Meanwhile Cirkin is telling Mayenda and Co to crack on.... Den knew we were going to win.... Just like Adrain in Rocky 2 in her hospital bed, Watsons like Mick "WHAT ARE WE WAITIN FOR.... TAKE THIS".

    Just noticed something else ...

... look at Patterson's position when Brooks has his chance, then look at their keeper when Watson scores.

Patterson is better than some may believe in my opinion.

Yeah seen that. However, the comms team on sky piped off the keeper "Mr reliable", Mr "Cool" all game and they had submitted planning for a Moore statue outside Wembley and Buckingham Palace for most of the game, so... hay ho.

    Serious question now.

Of those Sheff Utd bought in January, to push them over the line, who would you want as starters in the PL?

Not one. It’s so counter to accepted wisdom how we’ve gone about our rebuild, but it places us in such a great position. Not much debt, small losses, no expensive players, an owner who has not invested more than the value of the club. It still might not see us stay up, such is the way the deck is stacked against us, but it is undeniably the best way for a team to go up.

Brilliant Jarca, thanks for posting <ok>
Mundle at the end with his head in his hands in front of the crowd got me.
Apparently when Watsons goal went in, their keeper tried to put his head in his hands, but he missed that as well :emoticon-0102-bigsm

    Booze and HOPE

All in all its been the perfect season, Luton relegated and us beating Boro to the Prem. Money ., altho I dont like the current scramble for wealth above all else, the loss of Watson being a particuarlly a painfull example for me ,but I half expect him to regret it whan he finally hangs up his boots, Judas might be a bit harsh but it has been famously used before, however hope springs eternal,
I watched an under 12 tournament up at the Barnes last night beteween 5 local schools Hill View won the final 1-0 against Monkwearmouth to lift the cupand some of the play in all five games was exilerating and, no player stood out more than a young lad currently being courted by the Mags, us and Boro I am told his name is Smith and he looks a real prospect. Come on son sign for us and see how it goes.

It's a good question. And the answer is none of them I'd say. And I don't think they have as many in their first eleven likely to make the jump up as we do. They were and are designed for the Championship and to get up.

As for us, we're more than okay. I expect us to have a good honest go at it, not put ourselves at longer term risk and, though of course we all want the world, sign some good quality players of whom I will have never heard.

It might be a poisoned chalice, but we might as well have a pop at it, and we fans might as well enjoy it for what it is. I also expect a lot of neutral fans will be rooting for us, as they seemed to be in the final. We might surprise a few.

I've been alive for every promotion in our history, though I can't remember the first. This one has thrilled me more, and got to me more than any of them. All involved have been fantastic, and IMO deserve our unconditional backing. I'm sure that will get it from almost everyone.

If he's a really good youngun, there is only one place he should go if he gets the chance.

I was talking recently to a lad who was on the books here as a young lad. Didn't quite make it for various reasons, but also had a bit of a chance at the other two. He's a black and whiter, and he told me that our set up was streets ahead of the others. This was from a good few years ago too, and we have it much better now.

My friends’ son was signed as a 10 year old for the mags. Told he had a better chance than most. Promised a lot by them. Turned 15 in November and just after his birthdat was told “sorry we’re releasing you. You aren’t what we need” and that was it. Was stuck in a rut of depression for quite a while afterwards. Gone back to playing “kids” football and rediscovered his love for it. Parents Said Newcastle treated him terribly as he’s from a poor background and they can’t invest into the club. Better footballer than some who have been kept on with rich parents.

Yep. I've heard of cliques forming, and It's possible anywhere, including at ours. There are a lot of young lads in the systems and being fair and clear headed to them all is a challenge. Something to watch out for all the time I think.

None, I like Cannon but he wasn't worth the transfer fee they paid. I think he would have done well for us

I was against the Diaz signing, don't rate him at all
