Bild are clearly getting stuff from Dortmund. This is just dortmunds way of saying they won’t pay the full asking price.

‘tis a game of chicken and I reckon we’ll both settle somewhere in the middle

    Things is,

if they want him they have to pay the price.

if that’s in his release clause they have to pay.

I also think we won’t risk completely blocking the transfer if Jobe really wants it. This just means we might get 35m euro instead of 25-30m

As far as I can tell Jobe needed to be convinced to leave by his brother, Agent-Dad and their Sporting director based on the current rumours so I can't imagine he'd down tools if it fell through.

Its all negotiations but if Speakman has demonstrated one thing its that he knows how to get the best price possible.

Jobe #Bellingham is said to have initially had reservations about following his brother's path. In the end, however, it was his father Mark, Jude #Bellingham himself, and Watzke's argument that he could play in the Champions League and the Club World Cup with Dortmund that convinced him.

He’s 100% gone. And we’ll know he is. This is about maximising the fee.

Its the hope that gets you although £35m will make the disappointment go down smoother.

Would be nice if Jobe came out and said what he wants..

This will rumble on all summer,
I think Dortmund wanted him signed by this weekend so they could register him for the CWC.

Disagree. If he comes out and says he wants to go then that puts us in an awful spot to maximise his fee
