Didn't they have a game in the middle east recently? Might have been their version of the charity shield actually.
Makes sense from a business point of view, money rules all and with more and more American owners coming in I can see a few things changing a bit to generate more money. Some might actually be good for the sport as a whole like a salary cap
I would support that if the American owned teams had to play their games in America and then have a league game 3 days later. Let’s see how they play with jet lag.
Don’t know if you guys listen to this, could be all bollocks but they talk big about Saints’ chances next year even with largely the existing squad. Excited about WS and see us definitely playoff contenders if not auto promotion. You have to wait until nearly the end for the Saints but, but it’s worth a listen.
Big Ange sacked, Frank to Spurs then McKenna to Brentford? it’s nice for once that we can sit back and see what happens . Everyone making Ipswich their guaranteed promotion next season, but I’m not so sure.
A team will definitely break 90 points as well, it won’t be us. Right now I’d have Ipswich and Sheff Utd finishing top 2 with Leicester 3rd and us 4th or 5th
I have us in the top 2 right now. It's worth pointing out last season's prediction was fairly accurate - Leeds champions, Cardiff and Plymouth relegated for example. Although it also had Sunderland in 21st and Luton in the play offs!
This smacks of HMS piss the league. How can anyone predict how a team that only got 12 points will perform in the next season?. Derby finished in 17th the next season when they got 11 points before. I won't be too disappointed if we fail to go up next season, we may need an extra season to build this time.
We should be top 4 just down to budget. Birmingham could pose a threat to the top 4 but not sure about anyone else. I’d have us as 4th out of the top 4 though
We have all that scar tissue though, lots of damaged footballers in our squad right now. Losing is a hard habit to shake.
I hope that we hit the ground running but I fear it may be a slow start again next season until things settle a bit.
