Plymouth without a manager make their third preseason acquisition.

They have a ‘head of football operations’ who knows something about football whereas we have Choo & Dalman.<doh>

    ST sales now top 10,000.

Appoint the right manager quickly (not holding out hope) and we could soon top 13,000. Not far off last season although away sales will drop substantially as will on the day walk ups.

The vibe I’m getting is we’ll be supported well away from as there are a stack of new grounds to tick off

I think BfB meant away fans coming to CCS, but I agree with you City will be well supported away as new grounds to see. Looks like I'll be putting a few more miles on the car.

    Or your bike?

Yes you're right BT. No Sunderland, Leeds, Wendies, Blades, Jacks, Wurzels, Hull, Norwich or Ipswich to fill our away end.

Plymouth and Luton will bring a good number but few others. For some midweek games the CCS away end will be like a Titanic survivors reunion meeting.

In some ways I’ll be glad not to hear 2-3000 away fans cheering yet another home loss.:emoticon-0138-think

True but I hate it when the place is quiet. I hope that can be put behind us next season.

Aw, go on then. And Cov, although thinking about 10 years ago the away end was sparsly populated for a mid week game v Cov.

It sticks in the memory as you had a wide midfielder called Hussey. He wasn't happy as he wasn't seeing much of the ball so he kept on waving his arms about and doing a little dance.

The chant went up from the Ninian Stand with him performing right in front of us. "Do the Hussey, Hussey". Despite being beaten, your own players were having a good laugh at that. I think Hussey was glad to be subbed off.

Edit. Strange how the memory plays tricks on you. It was actually 16 years ago on 20 October 2009. Hussey came on as a 68th minute sub and started his song and dance act straightaway.

It was Cov's first visit to our new stadium. We won 2.0.

I'm sure BT will confirm the tale.

I do so confirm. It gave us all a good laugh. Was it really 16 years though . Time flies!

I remember that one..... Hilarious and harmless fun...

I'm sure at one point we were even chanting "give it to Hussey" and booing when he didn't get the ball??
