IT SOUNDS LIKE MORE OUTGOINGS. A reliable source is suggesting that our CEO and Director Andrew Parkinson could be on the way to Blackburn in a similar role. ALSO Our Head of Finance David Ray could also be leaving for Bolton and a link up with Schumacher. For goodness sake chain Florrie to the tea trolley or there will be no one left.
Argyle are supposed to be in advanced talks with Bradley Ibrahim a 20 yr old English midfielder.....Who was on loan to Crawley from Hertha Berlin.
Also talk of ex-Bolton manager Ian Evatt being considered as the new Argyle manager/headcoach. It does seem strange that before we have installed a new manager/headcoach....we are talking of bringing in new player No4 (Ibrahim).. You would expect the new man to be involved in choosing players to suit his style of play....but with so many managerial changes seemingly in the pipeline at the moment....being flummoxed seems to be the order of the day. But as I said earlier keep Florrie chained to the tea trolley...we cannot cope with such an important change happening....and is she still doing those big slabs of bread and dripping....that help to grow hairs on your chest.....( and that is just the female staff).
Yet another player supposed to be in talks with Argyle.....Jay Fulton a 31yr old Scot who plays defensive midfield a Swansea player at present.
Miron Muslic time at Argyle has turned out as a snake in the grass.....he impressed everyone with his Churchhillian style speech to the team when he came....talking of pulling together and loyalty to the cause etc, etc......What he forgot to say was that those words and thoughts didn't include him... and he would leave anyway even without permission to talk to another club......so Argyle let him go....they could have dug their heels in for full compensation....but it would have slowed the process down of getting a new manager in before the pre-season started. There will be those that will watch his future career with interested......watching to see how honest he is....will his words and deeds continue the same or will he stop being a snake in the grass.
I see Jack Wilshire is among others being touted as a candidate. He has almost no real managerial experience and that’s not we want at all. Rumours are just rumours of course……
who cares Plym, he has gone and wont be the last to say such words.. Now its seems the people who pick these people no best... not Please not jack wiltshire thats back wards and another season of backwards Mr hallet..
another one in it seems Hertha berlin Midfielder Bradley Ibrahim permanent deal on loan last year at crawley thats 4 in, need a keeper i think to replace grimshaw
Not officially announced yet Joe. Although there is talk of him seen at the ground wearing an Argyle shirt being interviewed.
Sounds promising.....hope the new "manager" (whenever) will be able to adapt our four new players into the style that he feels happy with.
Now if we could persuade Carrick to drop a division....he would be good at Home Park....it will be all about the money unfortunately.
I just watched highlights of Argyle v Drunken Monkeys. I think the opposition's name gives you an idea of the weirdness of this competition and some of the unfamiliar rules will confirm it. No linesmen. No offsides - see above - or possibly blind referees only. No throw-ins. The game is instead restarted by playing a pass from a stationary ball on the touchline. Seems a pretty pointless change. Now the good bit. Argyle went two up with both goals coming from Graham Carey. Had the scored 1 more before X minutes had elapsed (I didn't catch how many) the game would have stopped there and then. That's because the "Target Score" for that number of minutes was 3. After X minutes had elapsed, Argyle went 3-0 up but then conceded 2. At "full time" the score remained 3-2, so Argyle has won right? Wrong. As the "Target Score" was now 4, we went into a sort of extra time. Not Extra Time for everyone though, as every Y minutes, one player from each side was withdrawn. Argyle's keeper ended up playing quite effectively in a sort of defensive midfield cum rush-back keeper role. Argyle scored a fourth and so won the game. Next week, 5-a-side tennis on horse-back.
