I'd want us to avoid the Dutch league, the standard isn't great - def some talent there, especially in the top few teams but it's a very hit or miss league for English sides

 

I know it's 1 from a team but just couldn't mind how many loans in total, I had 2 in my head but could be off with that

I'd like 2 loans tops anyway, we def need to use the loan market again - Oscar Bobb would be an obvious one of he is available

 

Who was our last signing from their top flight was it altidore? I know Seelt technically but cos it was the b team I’m leaving him out

I initially thought we'd have to look there and in Belgium, having seen some of the rumoured fees for French league players and other top leagues I've totally switched.

 

Him or O'Reilly might be decent from city towards the last weeks of the window.

I feel like a loan with a buy option for another player - can then open up space for a 2nd loan in January and make this one permanent

 

I like quite a lot of young Belgium players as focused a lot on them at my old club plus been to see their U21 side a few times so it's a league I wouldn't mind 1 or 2 coming from

The French league just makes so much sense for us, we have a French manager, an owner who grew up their plus some key players are French as well

 

That's fair, outside of the big ones (italy, spain, germany, france) what foreign markets do you think still have value and quality good enough for the PL?

 

O'reilly is a cracking shout, he's not a LB imo and would do well in that no10 role for us frkm what I've seen of him in youth football

 

The Belgium league is one i like, or at least players who have played there. The French league just seems like it will be our go to market this year, I'm totally fine with that

 

I do expect him to be out on loan. Pep has been a bit strange with his games so far. Started and played 90 minutes in the FA Cup final (arguably the biggest of their season) then he didn’t get off the bench for their remaining 2 league games…

 

Oh aye I'd initially wanted him as the 8 since he is the definition of box to box - and of course provides cover at left back should we need it (not convinced by him there).

Interesting shout as a 10, now that you mention it he would probably do a job there.

Yep I'm torn between the 10 or 8 as his best position, just feel he might be better as a 10 while he gains more experience

He's a versatile player for sure, got a bit of everything in him but used to love his movement in and around the box

 

I’ve been focussing my player suggestion to mainly France with the odd dabble in other leagues

I’ve just seen one of Marseille’s top players go for 25 million. Even the best players aren’t demanding major fees so the really good players who want to come to England we even cheaper

 

If anything that's ideal for us, him and Le fee could swap between who goes forward and who sits. And replacing Jobe with a loan would give a LOT of money to sort out the 6.

definitely a midfielder him. Suits the inverted full back role because I think he’s better in the 8 with a view to drive forward
