There was some mockery when i suggested there was no reason why we couldn't win the next 4 games - 3 down, one to go!
Your prediction could very well ring true now! It's not the City way to be over-confident but I can't help myself with this team. Playing like we are now, we can climb even higher up the table.
Who can tell with this league? What I do know is we have a manager who cares about the club, a fantastic group of players and an attacking ethic. Silverware, we don't care......
I hold my hands up, although I was jumped on a little harshly by others! I felt it was asking a bit much at the time to beat an improved Leicester side along with an under-rated Birmingham team who were only in a lowly league postion because they had about 30 games in hand Plus, I figured.. it's Hull. We're bound to get 6 points from Leicester and Birmingham and then lose 2-0 to Coventry
On a totally separate point, but not worth making another thread about, yet another paper has messed it up. I continue to fail to understand why I can't find work in journalism with headlines coming out like these: http://www.coventrytelegraph.net/co...ry-1-hull-0-full-time-report-92746-29931777/?
And I'm the one that's normally pessimistic! - usually I'd agree with you as that has often been one of our failings over the years - doing well against good teams and not coming up with the goods when we should do well - as in bottom club Coventry, albeit away. Are we also showing some 'mettle' as good, free flowing, passing football?
Considering we drew with Brizzle & Donny, lost to Palace, Barnsley and Burnley, I thought it was just same old City again this year. Turns out (as posted by someone the other day) this season we've performed the best against teams in the bottom half of the league
I think given our form and the way the table looks tonight we could be in the race for automatic promotion, and why not? Cardiff and Boro look strong but beatable. I think our first team can beat anyone on there day. Need to remember how unpredictable the league is this season, but needless to say I think we have a bright future
I thought ..... Well am I missing something it looks right to me !!!!! but it has been amended ... Great 3 points.
When I looked at it, it said Coventry 1 - 0 Hull City, so I can vouch that you were correct at the time of posting.
Agree with this. The ingredients you need for a promotion push. If we're still in the top 6 by the end of January then we can look towards a promotion push. Boro game on Boxing day looks like it could be an interesting game.
I think the Boxing day clash could be the game of the season It should be a near sell out with them been up there, how many do you think we will take? Should be over 3,000
I thought we'd drop down the table so I hold my hands up, wrong on that one! Nicky has done everything that we could have wanted of him. There will be a few more blips like the Burnley game as that's football but here's hoping he gets made permanent as manager as soon as possible. The results are showing he is a great success, not to mention the improvement in several players performances.
Have you tried the Hull Daily Mail? As long as you can write (doesn't have to be joined up) they will give you a shot. My pals pet monkey had a chance but failed in the end as they found out he was a Hull City supporter.
I work there, but in distribution rather than anything to do with writing, publishing or editing etc. I've tried on a couple of occasions but they don't seem to give anyone a shot at the moment.
As I said before if you have talent writing, which you obviously have, then no chance to get a position, because you will show up all the other useless Bar Stewards.
