Will Smeed just hit his 100th 6 in T20 cricket.

    Still only 23 years old.

    Somerset 65-0 after 5 overs, chasing 149.

Seems Essex are still shellshocked by their hammering on Friday night. :)

Essex bowlers are 149-0 from their 12 PP overs so far this competition.

No surprise that they're heading for a second thrashing.

On the other hand, Duckett dropped catches, missed a nailed on run out and then got a duck!

An exhilarating 26 off 27 balls for Sibley tonight. I just hope Surrey don't change their batting line up on Thursday.

Santner will probably arrive from the IPL in time to play on Thursday. But he'll presumably replace Sykes or Majid, as opposed to Sibley (with Roy opening).

More worrying is that Smith isn't part of the t20 squad, so if he's allowed to play on Thursday, he'd be an obvious change to their top order.

I'm liking the scorecard for our friendly vs Ventnor. Abbott opening the batting. Middleton, Eckland, Brown and Gubbins all bowling.

Apparently Graham Gouldman, who co-wrote the 10cc hit “Dreadlock Holiday” in 1978, attended his very first cricket match at the age of 79 yesterday, to watch England beat the Windies at the Oval.

No prizes for guessing what his response was when asked if he liked cricket!

Salt has gone on paternity leave, so Smith has replaced him in the squad. <diva>

Good toss to win, with rain in the forecast.

    Very good over from Currie.

    Pope just isn't a t20 opener.

Going very well so far. But I am just waiting for Tom C to come in and whack 40 off 16.

I just hope the rain holds off long enough for us to bat 5 overs.

Good effort. Our fielding was excellent as well - no dropped catches that I saw unlike last Friday!

Very solid for 19 of those overs.

The problem is that the one over which didn't go our way has given Surrey something which they might defend.
