I told my boss, "Sorry I'm late. I was having computer issues."

    Boss: Hard drive?

Me: No, the commute was fine. It's my laptop.

A mummy covered in chocolate and nuts has been discovered in Egypt.

Archaeologists believe it may be Pharaoh Roche.

I told my wife she should embrace her mistakes…

    She gave me a hug.

    Hi all,

Bit of a break from the general banter, as I have a football related request.

My lad's grassroots football club (Prescot Cables JFC U11's) are doing a sponsored climb of Snowdon on Sat. June 14th to raise money for the team:

    https://gofund.me/fc054401

If you can make a small donation or share the link to the fundraiser, I (and the team) would be most grateful.

    Thanks!

Musings from an unknown author. Sixteen in '66 I did a lot more than study in the '60s music and travel interfered with my education.
They call us "The Elders". We were born in the 40s-50s-60s. We grew up in the 50s-60s-70s. We studied in the 60s-70s-80s. We dated in the 70s-80s-90s. We got married and explored the world in the 70s-80s-90s. We ventured into the 80-90s.
We stabilized in the 2000s. We became wiser in 2010. And we're going further than 2020. Seems like we are living in eight different decades... TWO different centuries... TWO separate millennials...
We've gone from telephone with a long distance operator to video calling anywhere in the world.
We've gone from slides to YouTube, vinyl records to online music, handwritten letters to email and WhatsApp. From live game radio, to black and white television, to color television and then to 3D HD TV. Went to the video library and now watching Netflix.
We met the first computers, punch cards, floppy disks and now we have gigabytes and megabytes on our smartphones. We wore shorts our entire childhood and then pants, oxfords, rockets, full shells and blue jeans. We are avoiding polio, meningitis, polio, tuberculosis, swine flu and now COVID-19. We used to ride roller skates, tricycles, bicycles, scooters, gasoline or diesel cars and now we drive hybrid or electric cars.
Yes we've been through a lot but what a life we had! They could describe us as 'examples', people born in the fifties who had analog youth and digital adulthood. We're like "I have seen it all"! Our generation has literally lived and seen more than anyone in all dimensions of life. This is our generation that has literally adapted to “CHANGE. "A big applause for all the members of a very special generation, which is becoming UNIQUE! From the wall of Alicia Paz'

So I went to buy a watch today, and the man in the shop said "Analogue." I said "No, just a watch please “.
