I would be very happy with this man - Former Forest Green boss Rob Edwards is on the brink of becoming the next Bristol City manager, Stroud Times understands. Edwards is in pole position to replace Liam Manning, who Norwich City today named as their new head coach on a four-year contract. Edwards ,42, has been without a club since departing Luton Town in January. His first job in management saw him guide Forest Green Rovers to League One as League Two champions in 2022 before he made the move to Watford, where he was sacked having suffered just two defeats in 10 league games. Edwards took charge of Luton Town in November 2022 and led the Hatters into the top flight for the first time since 1992, but they came down after one season. He left Luton after a run of four consecutive defeats in the Championship. Luton were eventually relegated for a second successive season. Stroud Times editor Ash Loveridge said: “Rob Edwards worked wonders at Forest Green and in my view he’s the perfect fit for Bristol City. Rob is brilliant with the media and his man management skills and personality are second to none.”
plays far more attacking football-bring that big no9 in from Luton ran us ragged when he played against us. If he was available at the time and you said Manning or Edwards who would you have chosen
All the friggin' about is now over, time to move on and all enjoy the next phase that the Lansdowns and company are going to bestow on us.
WOWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW Sam Bells sister just posted good riddance to Liam Manning on Instagram. Also not one player has come out and wished Manning well going forward unlike when Nigel Pearson left the majority did wish him well. Make of that what you will-
Didn’t Mickey Bell leave due to a disagreement over Sam being overlooked for Armstrong when Wells was injured?,or am I dreaming?

Most probably on holiday. But **** me your highlighting a comment from the sister of a player you never wanted to see in a city shirt and said he was league 2 at best.
Perhaps the harmony down on the farm was not quite what it looked like on the telly. Background issues can ruin the dressing room faster than two shakes of a lamb's tail. Mmm interesting but what is about to descend on us could get even worse especially when it comes to the choice of manager.
Graham Bailey says Carrick is interested in the Bristol City job-I would rather have Rob Edwards or Martin or Cooper.
