Incorrect. Bristol City had to restructure its spending post covid or breech FFP, and this would have occurred if the pandemic had not existed.

It’s obvious Manning is going, the club would have made a statement otherwise. They can’t really say anything until everything is finalised. As long as they are working behind the scenes to find his replacement, that’s fine by me. I just wish BT left as well.

Possibly, yes, but the pandemic accelerated it, as did for many clubs. That was the landscape the , and what we had to do to compete regardless of the manager, as it was post pandemic when clubs had no money and were cutting their cloth accordingly. Ask yourself why the board didn’t trust Pearson with the money form him selling the “family china”….

There was no possible. The financial losses prior to covid were going to be tens of millions. Significant cost cutting was inevitable. Covid increased the inevitable loss by around eight million pounds according to Richard Gould.

The pandemic increased the size of the dildo BCFC already had stuck up its arse financially

The vast majority of the 'china' purchased by 1For's mate was worthless, the sole reason no club came in with offers for any of them.
Good old Nige put our club back in order.
Absolute diamond our Nige, we're forever grateful.

Pretty sure we will go backwards now. Such a shame after he oversaw a massive overhaul of our league positions:emoticon-0101-sadsm

I was beginning to wonder if Liam would ever leave us but apparently it is now official according to BBC. The process to replace should already under way and I hope we can find someone decent who will change the boring football that we play, with very little success, which would lift the spirits after an unexpected departure. I think someone has made a big booboo by not releasing BT and JL but we know that will never happen under the current rule unless there is a major public bust-up. When you have a suspected individual in your organizational set-up that has been in the house during those times when some very debatable decisions were made then I think it's well past their due date to be removed. Here we go again diving into the unknown where we have been many times before but probably the many questions that will almost certainly arise are will it be good enough? Over the last few weeks we have seen some negatives in regards to where the priorities firmly lie with Lansdown et al, but when it appears that the necessary has to be done we tend to look another way and then follow it up with excuses and rhetorical nonsense.

Quite frankly Liam's departure doesn't leave me gasping for air because if you look at our less than brilliant history of throwing support at the wrong time to the wrong people. We will find someone else but the question will certainly focus on ability and history at the Championship level or better and I just can't ever see us splashing the cash on a manager with worth and experience. Same old stuff I suppose.

Timnion is overseeing all transfers which really worries me for 2 reasons

Firstly does this mean he’s nailed on for the job and secondly what happens if it’s given to someone else and the new manager doesn’t like the new additions ?

Liam Manning explains reasons behind Norwich City switch after Bristol City confirm boss' exit
Liam Manning has left Bristol City to join the Robins' Championship rivals Norwich City as their new head coach
    https://www.bristolpost.co.uk/sport...liam-manning-explains-reasons-behind-10236290
'When I spoke to Ben [Knapper] and the owners about the opportunity here, I was really impressed by their vision and strategy for moving the club forward. I felt a clear alignment in how they want to play and develop players – that is something I was really excited to be a part of.'
