Yeah, ours was over when it happened. I was driving on home.and heard of this incident after seeing the buss pass the crowds.andnthe fireworks go off.

I had visitors at work to host so had to be there.

Their took place the day after massive riots and 3 people dying. Macron turned up and got his picture as is his arrogant wont

I thought you were talking about ours and bemoaning the fact that the media paid more attention to the incident.
My comment should be read in that context.

    That's fair enough.

I am contrasting the two approaches.

I was fairly surprised to see the Paris bus ho ahead but macron. Wow

I'm unsure why you would rob psg fans of the chance of a parade for their first champions league trophy because of the actions of a minority of idiots.

Regardless if there was riots or not, politicians should have been no where near it. It's not a parade for you it for the fans

We refused to play games on the Hillsborough anniversary, out of respect and rival fans never understood that remembering the loss of human life and respecting the day far outweighed any game of football.

As I said yesterday, there's a balance to be made. I personally couldn't jump up and down in celebration knowing that fellow citizens had lost their lives caught up in the after match stuff the day before but each to their own. Some think it would be alright to celebrate following a tragedy.

Our parade was over when the injuries occurred so those of us at the parade had already had our moment. Had something happened like in France, no way would I have gone to a parade after the fact and I would like to think that the club would have cancelled the parade out respect anyway.

    Each to their own.

Slot didn't go to the LMA award ceremony, in which he won 2 awards, out of respect for the injured fans and what had happened after the parade. I guess he's so far over the top too.

I guess would you have called off the Europa league / Conference final because fans clashed before the game and there were injuries?

I think lfc fans being injured at the event and stuff happening 24 hours before not linked to the actual celebrations are 2 very different circumstances.

There is showing respect but if people didn’t celebrate things because someone horrible has happened somewhere then nothing would ever happen. **** things happen every single day.

We all have different values. I act on mine, others act on theirs. It's the way of the world.

I've no idea what you're on about.

I'm not going to be shouted down by someone just because I've got a different opinion. The difference between us, it seems, is that I don't insist that my view is the correct one and everyone else is wrong. You do you, I'll do me.

Sorry I think comparing the Hillsborough disaster to a civil disturbance that used football as an excuse is an over exaggeration. I also think to use the disaster to prove your point is distasteful in the extreme. But you think it's OK, that's fine, I think it's a scummy thing to do, which is also fine

I'm just saying I'm surprised at how they've gone about it like nothing at all happened or thst a bit of rioting and burning cars is a normal paris evening.

    It's an observation.

It was reported on with zero reference to what had preceded it.

And I drew contrast to how 1million people celebrated in Liverpool and the media here didn't report on that at all bar in reference to the incident. The two seem diametrically opposite approaches.

My post was made to reflect on having some respect for those we've lost. You know that. Twisting it into something that it clearly isn't, is on you.

I agree with you. The way we (club) respond is in line with my way of thinking.

Still no verdict on City breaking 130 rules.

I wonder if they're going to wait until the new season starts so they can delay any potential points penalty to 26/27 season.
