Maybe we should have a sweep stake on when the manager after the one we're waiting on will be appointed. November? December? January? Surely not February.

    The shortlist is getting longer.
Might chuck my hat into the ring.

    Who?

    Wasn't he a comedian in the 60's?

Irish, former player, manager of Dundee United, managerial career totally in Scotland.

Has overseen promotions and relegations and a couple of very large squad rebuilds.

Was the subject of El Sacko after Aberdeen lost 6.0 to Hibs in a 2023 relegation battle.

    Prefers 4 3 3.

Not afraid to tell refs what he thinks of them and been suspended a couple of times.

No EFL experience at all but if he can find us a few players like Marshall, McNaughton, Rae, Cowie, Burke and McCormack that would be a good start.

However if he is now in the frame does that mean Buckingham, Evatt and double barrelled guy have said no?

    Should suit us just fine.

Never heard of him to be honest.

The bookies must be having a field day with all the names they are throwing about.

I don’t know how bookies odds are created but assume it’s based on volume of bets placed on any particular person.

So if no money is being placed on the also ran’s a random £50 bet on Goodwin has catapulted him up the list?

I think you're right Nin but, that being the case, who would have lobbed in a bet on a total outsider like Goodwin unless they had some inside knowledge.....

Or unless someone is trying to change/increase the odds on another candidate by inflating the odds on a complete random ???

Not that I'm implying that criminal gangs would be taking an interest in trying to skew the odds on our next gaffer, but who knows eh???

Think I may pop a few quid on Gareth Bale to take over as owner/manager <laugh>

Apparently City's primary target is still Nathan Jones and it looks like Jones himself is trying to bring it to a head.

Despite the perception that he's happy to stay at Charlton, the word is he's not and is trying to force the move.

This is the last post on the topic on the Addics site yesterday afternoon. I’m keeping an eye out for an update :emoticon-0138-think

Funnily enough I popped over there to take a look at what their views were and couldn't help but chuckle at the fact that the thread had been started as pretty much a 'Jones Out' thread <laugh>

Even funnier is the fact that they don't like being reminded by him of the s#it they were slinging his way to begin with :emoticon-0140-rofl:

I can't attest to the accuracy of this but a mate sent it to me.

I believe it's from another less reputable and sophisticated message board.
