Fine paid by the director also means primely the fine is paid by the club (as the director is possibly an equity owner) so the club then goes into financial trouble etc. Some say that it punishes the fans etc. Unfortunately it's tough. Think Pompey in 2007(?) winning the FA Cup. Totally done on the back of financial irregularities and they now have an FA Cup to their name. Bet the fans don't feel punished by that?
100% Same / similar at NF, MC & you can even drop NU into that bracket, although they haven’t broken any rules (yet). NF definitely did & I’d think we’re all in agreement MC “must have@ broken / overstepped some.
Because rich people just throw massive amounts of money into employing Lawyers and the cases go on for ever and cost the prosecution gazillions
Yep. And the premier league must be running scared because IF city do win the case the repercussions would be massive in terms of the other clubs who’ve been punished and given points deductions. What a mess that would be.
Seems there’s still no ruling https://sports.yahoo.com/article/promise-manchester-city-chairman-issues-131800284.html
“Not proven” = We know you’re guilty, we just can’t prove it because your slimy lawyers keep tying us up in knots
Be interesting to know how that mileage compares with others. Presumably Boro have this most quite comfortably.
I was thinking they'd likely be second. Can't see them having more than Boro as Boro have three 300+ mile trips. That Norwich to Swansea journey is a killer though.
Norwich total is 7902 miles. Swansea round trip is 626 and I do know people who have done it. I know one guy who did Plymouth away on his own last season, driving. Legend has it he is due back any day now.
