Anyone else feel down?

Does anyone else feel really depressed after that result? We have no squad depth at all and the squad we do have contains little quality.

Ba is brilliant as is Krul but maybe apart from Cabaye, Tiote, Colo and Ben Arfa, at the moment I see no quality. If we lose to Swansea and WBA then I might start to worry. I'm still trying to be positive and think it's a blip but a few more bad results I will get a little concerned.

 

What I'm really concerned about is losing Ba for 6 games for that bastard of a competition.

 

Come on ffs. I know we lack squad depth but how often is it that a team loses 3 center backs and two center mids through injury? It would kill most teams in this league.

 

The first team is quality. After that it goes a bit pear shaped.

To be fair we have been very unlucky that all of our injuries seem to have happened simultaneously. Then again I can't remember the last season we have had that didn't contain an injury crisis.

not really when i saw the team i didn't expect to get anything out of this game but there were times during the match i thought we'd get at least a draw but alas on another day who knows.I'd be more worried if we don't have willo or colo or both for the next game.

 

This! Cheer up lads we're just in a mild bad patch after being ****ed with injuries - look where we are in the table now, in December; we'd have snapped off anybodys hand who offered us this.

 

I think reality is kicking in to be honest. Delusion has come back and the fact is were just not good enough. I just can't see us winning a single game in we play Perch and Simmo at CB. I mean ffs Pardew weve lost every game you have done it.

Well we entered the season one down, and Taylor is injury prone. A lot of us were saying we needed a centre half even before Willo got crocked. Madness.

 

You're always going to feel down when your team loses especially after the good start to the season we had. On the upside we do have two very winnable home games coming up to get us back on track but, on the downside, Champions League qualification may now be out of our reach!

 

Yep I said I think it's a bad patch but I feel so down and what will annoy me aswell is pundits being cocky saying "we told you so".

 

This! The season has been an absolute dream so far, we are seven(?) points ahead of 8th. That is amazing!

 

................and 15 (FIFTEEN) points of 18th place who just happen to be the mackems!!

 

You shouldn't let pundits bother you so much that it gets you down. Who cares what they say? You watch football for your own enjoyment, not because you want other people to look at you and think 'hey he supports a team that journalists think are great!'.

 

This. Considering we've got one point from four games that is a ****ing unbelievable cushion to have. If we have either Willo or Colo back next weekend we should beat Swansea. They're not an aerial team, and they're poor away from home. Three more points and we'll be on our way again.

 

Strangely not feeling down after the result. Usually do, but think I braced myself all week for a loss.

 

Mate, I love watching us play but I want others to see we are a good team and not a team they criticise constantly because they hate us. It's not this that gets me down either, I just really hate us losing by many goals and conceding them in a sloppy way.

 

Fair enough, I guess we're different there then. I don't like seeing us lose sloppily either but I couldn't care any less about what pundits say because at the end of the season we'll finish where we deserved to finish and not based on the opinion of some TV presenters. I'm happy to see my team do well, not to see a bunch of renowned morons give them credit on television.
