Arsenal definitely not out of it... But the bookies odds of 1/16 and 10/1 make it sound like a one horse race.
Yeah, Liverpool fans should be confident, but those betting odds suggest they're even more confident than they should be.
As I repeatedly say, makes no odds what we say or do. The only scenario in which it would is if the players themselves believed the hype, but I'm sure they're well aware that it isn't over yet - and of course it's the job of the coaches to keep them grounded. Atm, all the pundits are saying it's over, and that is a more pernicious influence imo, than mad Scousers throwing money at it. I've already said it'll be over before the Arsenal game, but that was a bit of a mischievous riposte to all of the negative nellies on here. Still, I am hoping it's settled by then.
If Arsenal win their game in hand we will still be 8 points clear. Still early to say the title is for us to lose, but we have a good advantage.

No that's bookies knowing the score and shutting down the betting. I'd not be shocked to hear a few start paying out early for publicity. It's just business. Why take more and more losses as people come in trying to het on a sure thing? I'll "bet" there will be cl bets available for those lfc fans being shown as alternative.
Back when I made that post, Arsenal still had a route back to the top and whereas it was likely we would win, it wasn't yet a foregone conclusion. (technically it still isn't... but Arsenal need a miracle now)... the extremely short odds for Liverpool indicated a lot of bids being placed on them to the point the odds became, basically pointless at a time when Arsenal still had an outside hope.
It will take something catastrophic for Arsenal to win the Premier league this season. Paul Merson hoping for points deduction which not going to happen.

Oh boy... glad we're favourites to win again... but it feels a bit jinxxy when they make us favourites this early.
