I suspect agents playing a huge part in decision too. You can almost predict what they’re telling them. Also Brentford are an established side now and us and our owners are an unknown entity nobody has a clue what we’ll be like next season

Very true but 30 years ago, Wilko sold the dream to the likes of Strachan and McAallister, the rest was history

We have a huge 55,000 seater stadium expansion plan, we have transfer funds available and managed promotion with 100 points, would have been 110 if we had used Darlow earlier.

We try and sign a Keeper who has 25 PL appearances in his entire career and he would prefer to play in front of 13,000 fans and a team that really isn't going anywhere upwards or down, the PL really is broken

It is broken totally. Remember too in Wilkes day he wasn’t dealing with multi millionaire agents and footballers so the dream was to play in a full stadium and maybe win silverware. Agents or most players have no interest in that anymore. It’s their fancy cars and fat bank accounts. Also I think the pl is now almost four separate division. The top six. Next six where Brentford are breaking into. A third four or five with clubs that are struggling like scum spurs West Ham. And then there’s the bottom three invariably made up of the promoted teams. It’ll be difficult attracting anyone anybody above us are trying to sign

It’ll be difficult, however all is not lost. We can stay up. As much as I’ve loved the championship in the last 3 yrs we’ve been there, we needed promotion this time, if only to try to finally bridge the gap.

Longer term the bigger stadium once finished will give us the opportunity for much needed extra revenue.

We’ve just got to hope our recruitment is better than 3/4 other teams.
