Yes. I’m taking option B if those are what’s available but those aren’t the only options in reality. Gazan society and vast swathes of other countries surrounding little old Israel aren’t ever going to accept a Jewish state next door. There will probably be a brief end to this chapter of war but it will go on forever. Israel will be fine. I’m more concerned with the Pandora’s box that’s been opened in Europe and the US.

Absolutely - and that's exactly why things have to change. Starting point will be re-defined borders and a strict sovereignty agreement involving all nations in the immediate area (and beyond) - a UN peacekeeping force is currently patrolling the Lebanon border and Hezbollah have abandoned their sites there - something similar will need to be put in place for both Gaza and The West Bank - objections based on 'cost' are completely ludicrous, given the costs of waging wars... Personally, hoping the June summit in New York comes up with a road map to lasting peace in the region.
