I’d prefer the chance to become part of something special and join the history of a club with honours rather than plodding along season after season with no hope of anything better than mid table

Never underestimate the pull of London. Being close to it is a big deal, especially to many foreign players. And of course, they are fixed in the PL.

seems strange to loan him out again at that age if we don’t view him as a Sunderland midfielder or defender I think we cash in now while his stocks high and put a sell on in.
