There are only two genders Lardi :emoticon-0148-yes:

To suggest otherwise is biological & factual stupidity, of the greatest kind.

My sympathy is with female athletes, who dedicate their lives & careers to excellence, only to be then beaten by men with whom they have no chance of competing.

We have seen this recently in elite women’s swimming, boxing & running.

Imagine how betrayed these (real) women must feel.

And all to keep the 0.00000001% happy :emoticon-0132-envy:

I have agreed with your position regarding transgender participation in women's sports.
Because, as I mentioned before, it is in my view the least worst option in a situation that has no perfectly fair solution.
I won't continue to debate the wider issue of gender identity, as it will lead us to places that I believe the forum moderator does not wish us to go.

By the way (as I also stated a while ago)
I have no objection to anything that I post being deleted if it is deemed to be inappropriate for this forum.
I have complete confidence that our moderator will act impartially for the good of the community here.
If this conversation has crossed a line, then I apologise for my part in that.

I see on the news that Jannik Sinner has been banned from Tennis for two drugs offences.

    The length of his ban?
    Three months <doh>

I mean, what is the f**king point.
The Sports authorities might as well tell athletes they can take what they like.
A three month ban will deter no-one.

Surrey were away to Essex at Chelmsford in a Sunday League game, it would have been mid 90's.

Essex batted second and in the last over they needed six runs to win with three wickets remaining, Sir Martin Bicknell rolled them out, me and my mate were jumping up and down hugging each other, it was fantastic.

In football terms it is being 3-0 down and to win the game.

    :emoticon-0162-coffe The Boat Race <bubbly>

    Another year, another barney.
Who's qualified to row in it.

    https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/rowing/articles/c5y2z3qvw98o

Cambridge - winners of 13 out of the last 14 races since men & women have both been competing separately,
are miffed because Oxford say three of their best rowers shouldn't be allowed to compete.
    Come on chaps.
Nobody takes it seriously except you lot. Just get on with it - assuming the Thames isn't too polluted to take a mouthful of...

This Eubank v Benn fight gets more farcical every day...

    https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/boxing/articles/cm259y9l29no

How long has Eubank known how much he is allowed to weigh - months?
Yet still he couldn't do it.
I don't like either of them, but it seems to be Benn is going to wipe the floor with Eubank.
Then we'll have to listen to all the re-match nonsense.

Think I'd rather watch a Fraudley Harrison fight.

This has been a true circus, to me it has cheapened boxing.

Benn seems to be a nasty piece of work, Eubank seems okay. This all may be for show who knows. That aside, I'd like to see Eubank spark Benn in the first round.

Once the fight is over they'll be cuddling each other and saying how much they respect each other as boxers, or some s*** like that.

PS, Eddie Hearn is a horrible, greasy faced man who I'd love to knock out.

Benn is a drug cheat who has employed an army of shifty types to confuse the issue.
You're right - Boxing has been damaged by this whole business. But that's been going on for decades now.

As for the snooker - where are the greedy owners going to take it after 2027?
    Saudi Arabia of course.
    Where else.
Like most other sports, Snooker now considers itself too good for the riff-raff (real fans) to be able to watch.

The world championships are being moved from Sheffield? Or there is to be a tournament there?

Brown envelopes from the Benn camp possibly?

The present deal runs out in 2027. Then they go where the money is. Heard was talking about friends not being able to get tickets at Sheffield. Yes right. They'll get tickets for UAE or Saudi <whistle>

    FORMULA ONE :emoticon-0113-sleep

Fifteen races to go and it's over as a competition already - as far as the teams are concerned.

Sky Sports had to resort to spending the bulk of their update talking about the celebrities who had turned up at the race <doh>
F1 is the ultimate expression of money and mega-egos totally smothering what was once an exciting sport.

I bet their viewing figures are crap.

Sadly, all Sky subscribers will end up paying for good money poured after bad trying to promote this bore-fest for the obscenely wealthy.

Q: Is there too much top level Tennis being played now?

    https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/tennis/articles/cm238l4n140o

    A: Yes.

But the demands on top level players are nothing to do with the Sport.
They are all about making money for the commercial parasites who sell the game to pay TV viewers across the World.

Personally I don't have much sympathy for Tennis players.
Unlike Football, Tennis is not a team sport.
Individual players can avoid burnout by simply choosing not to play certain tournaments at certain times.
If those players choose to play when they should not (for the sake of their own wellbeing) that's down to them.

Fantastic final to the French Open between 2 tennis players who refused to lose. Well done both of them. Alcaraz is a true champion.

What on earth is the media obsession with Emma Raducanu? She’s had one great tournament years ago otherwise she’s been decidedly average .
