Some will say was an example of an error that people would have to accept if there was no VAR at all . Guess the frustration is that there is and the ref didn’t allow the system to come into play . Apparently was a ref who normally does EFL games so more used to blowing up whenever …
Man U probably wish they hadn’t played this friendly. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/live/c780zgee905t
PSG another first time winner of a tournament. Outstanding performance. To think they almost went out early on
Drink involved I guess or maybe non football fans trying to cause trouble? Seems rather sad on a night of supposed celebration for the city ? Good job they won
Oldham back in the EFL after beating Southend 3-2. Two goals in 90 seconds in the 2nd half of extra time - jammy sods. Really wanted Southend to win that - have never liked Oldham, scruffy neds that their fans are.
A penalty - a bit dubious in my opinion. It was exciting, end to end stuff - but very scrappy. To be fair, Oldham probably shaded it.
After multiple winding up orders, Southend were sold to an Australian consortium. Ron Martin who was the owner, could see the potential of selling Roots Hall for housing development. A not dissimilar situation that Brighton and Oxford were in. Hopefully for them they are on an upwazd path, but today will not have helped.
I'm not sure where that info is from, but it wasn't sold to an Australian consortium - the purchasers just happen to be headed by an Aussie businessman. Other members of the group are local Southend FC supporters. Reading this suggests that they are now in safe hands... How do you forget to tell the players about a parade ?! https://talksport.com/football/3256272/non-league-news-horsham-efl-fa-cup-sussex-football/
A cracking 92nd minute goal gave Australia a 1-0 win over Japan in their World Cup qualifier in Perth and a six point lead over third-placed Saudi Arabia, who play later today. The pair then meet on my birthday in five days time - will be glued to the box watching that one...
As expected Saudi Arabia won their match against Bahrain, so the points difference is back to three. Australia in the box seat though, courtesy of a +8 goal difference compared the Saudi's zero.
Congratulations to Uzbekistan and Jordan . Great to see new teams qualify. The nations league knockout stages do seem to produce very good games . Final is on ITV this Sunday .
Extraordinary game. Spain 5-4 France. I think Frane could have won, but the forwards had been watching Bayo
