I respect all musicians tbh, no matter who.

But music is going through a bizarre phase when tribute acts play to bigger crowds that some of those for the original band ...

... and people spend a fortune watching ABBA on a screen.

It's like the world is becoming so weird that people want to retreat back to a time when they were young and had less worries.

What's baffling with Oasis is that the fans, if they're honest, know this tour has nothing to do with their love for music or the fans ...

... it's entirely for the money and they're squeezing every penny out of them.

He's in debt to one of the big casino's ain't he?

You can't knock Taylor Swift as a singer songwriter mind.

There was a poll on Twitter a couple of years back asking “who was a better frontman, like for Freddie Mercury, retweet for Liam Gallagher”

I was astounded that it had any retweets!!

I went to see a mate Jerry, after work, at the Irish bar in Cannes. Jerry was an Irish ex-mercenary who ran the place and stood the door, great character.

I was having a drink at the door when a scrawny lad, in a parker and sunglasses, came from inside and butted in demanding Jerry stopped people taking photos of him. Jerry glanced at him and said, ‘Tell them yourself, can’t you see I’m talking to someone!’.

He flounced out with Vanessa Mae, the violinist, walked twenty yards away and shouted, ‘You haven’t seen the last of me’ …

    … then vanished <laugh>

Got tickets for my two lads. They werent around for the Oasis era, but love their music. So for them it is a chance to see a band they love. Nowt wrong with that.

Oasis arent my thing. But I cant argue some of the sounds are iconic. Dont look back in Anger and Slide Away always gets a little smile when I hear it from on of the lads bedrooms.

It's totally about the money for them. They have divorces to pay for. I'm a bit sceptical too when they say that they had no idea about the dynamic pricing.
Was able to get mine before the dynamic pricing kicked in , but still not cheap.

Reminded me of players going to Saudi and claiming it’s not about money, of course not, playing in the Middle East was always their dream from when they were kids <laugh>

I just don’t believe Oasis will get a thrill from playing the same old stuff they’ve played for decades. And it’s not like they can play new stuff because, technically, they’re no longer a band … just a tour.

It’s like when John Cleese begs the Monty Python lads to drag themselves back on stage and trot out all the old jokes because he’s skint <laugh>

‘Outraged Oasis fans who have spent hundreds of pounds for the band's homecoming gig in Manchester are complaining that they have to enter a ballot to get close to the stage at Heaton Park.’

In March, the Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) said the company may have misled fans by selling "platinum" tickets for almost 2.5 times the standard price, without explaining they came with no additional benefits’

Well yeah, and fair play, they’re entitled to sell their product.

But if they didn’t know the profit they wouldn’t be doing the tour.

    It’s just not rock&roll is it …

… areas for children, platinum tickets for the wealthy and now having to apply to get close to the stage.

It’ll be like watching the playoffs on a big fanzone screen for a lot of the crowd.

    Yep.

It's the one of the guys act that sticks in the craw. They are aggressively milking it for all it is worth. Claiming ignorance is insulting, even to me and I wouldn't go to see them at the village hall.

Popular songs and bands come and go, classic and well written songs stay for decades and numerous Oasis songs will be popular for decades,in my opinion

Decent that. Might go for it instead of pissing about with the tram. Will imagine that will be insanely busy.
